When dropping off or picking up your student keep in mind that the east

side of the school is reserved for buses. For the safety of our students
please drop off/pickup on the north or south side of the building.
Come Join the Lego Bricks Club starting Monday, Oct. 19th at 3:00 pm.

Using Lego Bricks, your child will learn, build, and play in a way that
engages and
reinforces important concepts of science, technology,
engineering, and math. They wont even realize theyre learning. All of
our lessons are curriculum based and we have different levels of build
plans to fit your childs ability. A typical class includes 10-15
minutes of instruction with ample time for hands on LEGO fun.
Picture retakes are coming up on Friday, October 23rd. This is intended

for those students that missed the first session or would like to have
their pictures retaken. Please make sure to bring your portrait package
with you so that it can be turned in to the photographers. Order forms
are available in the Main Office.
Were happy to announce Erie Middle School is joining National History

Day, a national program for scholars. National History Day is a program

designed to engage Middle and High School students in historical
research, thesis development through analyzation, interpretation of
primary and secondary sources, and topic presentation. Students choose
a topic they would like to investigate in relation to each years theme;
this year it is Exploration, Encounter, and Exchange.
To facilitate
research and provide support to EMS students who want to compete on a
national level, a National History Day club has been formed at EMS. The
program will meet on the following dates at
7:00 am: 10/22, 11/12,
12/10, 1/14, 1/28. The program coordinator is Mrs. Harris. You can
reach her at harris_tina@svvsd.org. There will be other meetings and
research days throughout the process.
The dates and times will be
provided closer to the events.
