IEEE LATIN AMERICA TRANSACTIONS (Revista do IEEE Amrica Latina)

Responsibility and Obligation Agreement


This document is an Responsibility and Obligation Agreement is a legal agreement between you the author
submitting paper in IEEE LATIN AMERICA TRANSACTIONS, either as an individual or as an entity, and
IEEE LATIN AMERICA TRANSACTIONS.
When performing the submission of an paper, or even use the software, the author indicate your acceptance of the
terms of this Responsibility and Obligation Agreement as well as publication of the paper.
If the author does not accept and agree to all or any of the terms of this Responsibility and Obligation Agreement,
you should immediately cease all submission procedures, and not realize the paper submission.

Information
These rules may be modified at any time without notice.
Every paper must be made and submitted to IEEE Latin America Transactions in accordance with the rules and the formal
standard contained herein. Otherwise than the paper will not be published, but rejected.
The IEEE Latin America Transactions magazine covers the following areas:
Energy (Power Systems, Industrial Applications, Power Electronics, Machines, etc.)
Electronics (Telecommunications, Control, Microwave, Circuits and Systems, Electro, etc.).
Computer (Computer Science, Software, Computer Architecture, Networks, etc.).

In any contact by email put in the subject ID of Paper.


1 - The submission of a paper implies:
1.1- The paper has not been published before.
1.2- The paper is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
1.3- The submission was approved by all authors, as well as by the responsible authorities, tacitly or explicitly by the institute where the
paper was conducted.
1.4- The paper will be submitted for review in all aspects.
1.5- It is agreed that when the paper is accepted, the author agrees with the final editing process.
1.6- The author(s) authorizing the IEEE Latin America Transactions to publish the paper and make changes according to the format
required by the journal.
1.7- If identification is requested with official document with photo of author(s), they should send it scanned promptly.
1.8- The author(s) agrees and accepts all terms and rules set forth herein.
2- Copyright
The IEEE Latin America Transactions will own the copyright of the submitted works.
By submitting papers to IEEE Latin America Transactions the authors spend their copyright to the IEEE Latin America Transactions, and authorize
the Journal, without charge, to publish these texts in any medium, without limitation as to time, to the territory, or any other way.
All works published may subsequently be published in other media. The (the) authors (as) did not have permission to publish the
contribution in other media, printed or digital.
The author declares that the item is unprecedented, which has not been submitted to other means of publication and the rights have not assigned
previously.
2.1- The copyright of the paper should be sent to the IEEE Latin America Transactions, via e-mail editor-in-chief-r9@ieee.org second
model/format shown in annex (File: Copyright_FormIEEE.doc) or the link: http://www.ewh.ieee.org/reg/9/etrans/eng/submission.htm.
2.2- The authors including figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published must obtain permission from the copyright
owner, and include evidence that such permission was granted at the time of submission of the documents. All material received without
such evidence will be considered as the source of their authors, including the text of the paper.
2.3- The IEEE Transactions Latin America and the editor is not responsible if there is any claim.
2.4- It is established that it is the responsibility of the authors registration information and the text published in the IEEE Latin America
Transactions and the IEEE Xplore.
2.5- The IEEE Latin America Transactions is authorized to adjust the text to your publication formats and modify them to ensure compliance with
the standards and rules of the IEEE Latin America Transactions.
3 - Other provisions
3.1- Only content changes will be accepted in the paper that were requested by the reviewer and should be made by RE-UPLOAD at the site of
the IEEE Latin America Transactions.
3.2- When something prompted the author by the Editor in Chief, the reply must be faster, a deadline will be given according the
publication date, if the changes were not sent within the deadline, the paper will remains for further issues or discarded.
3.3- Since the paper is accepted, this does not mean it will be published, nor create any obligation of the journal IEEE Latin America Transactions
regarding the paper.

Only after the final review by the Editor in Chief, the paper sent will have its final status, independent opinion of the reviewers.
3.4- The paper must be strictly within the rules required by the IEEE Latin America Transactions in all its details, otherwise the item will
be rejected. Non-acceptance and non-compliance in the paper all items set forth herein in this document, will result in rejection and nonpublication of the paper.
3.5- Only papers will be accepted in Portuguese or Spanish.
3.6- In order we provide always an even better publication for the authors CV (index/ISI Routher, impact factor) we kindly ask you to include in
the references in your paper - related papers already published in int IEEE LA Transactions - (can be paper from your own or for other authors).
In this maner, you can have soon, publication with higher impact factor and Qualis higher than B1.
4- Submission
4.1- To perform the submission of an paper visit the link: http://www.ewh.ieee.org/reg/9/etrans/eng.
4.2- The registration/profile is the responsibility of the author(s).
4.3- In the paper the registration information must be true, then the default for the authors names (no hyphen). The registration information will
appear in the publication in the Journal IEEE Latin AmericaTransactions, and the IEEE Xplore and are the responsibility of the authors.
4.4- The registered data ARE USED BY THE SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE PUBLICATION IS GENERATED, and will be
used in indices IEEE Xplore, DOI and ISI Thompson.
4.5- In the registration /profile has the data regarding the paper - as the title, author (s), labor affiliation, email, keywords, abstract - that these
data should be equal in both the paper and in the registration/profile if are the different paper shall be canceled publication.
4.6- Select topics of interest in only one of three technical areas; which is closest to the topic of the paper (Electronic, Energy, Computing).
4.7- By submitting the item, open up it to a protocol. The phases until the publication are (Paper shall be considered accepted if published):
1. Allocation of reviewers.
2. Analysis and opinion of the reviewers.
3. Editorial decision.
4. Phase publishing.
5. Generation for publication.
6. Publication.

5- RULES FOR FORMATTING PAPERS - GRAPHICAL PRESENTATION (see attached models)
5.1- Papers should be submitted in Microsoft WordTM Windows System format (warning that the use of any external software to Microsoft
WordTM
Windows System, or use specific sources, can cause errors, as symbols can be exchanged in equations or formulas, leading to rejection of the

5.2- In the case of papers prepared in TeX/LaTeX should be a version of the paper using OpenOffice and save in Microsoft WordTM
Windows System format.
5.3- TEXT OF THE PAPER: should be Portuguese or Spanish (except Title, Abstract and Keywords should be in English), Times New
Roman, size 10 in black (including emails and links).
5.4- The paper should have an average of six (6) pages. It should not exceed 3MB in size.
5.5- PAGE SIZE: Letter size with margins of 1.70 cm on all 4 sides, in two columns with a width of 8.88 cm and 0.43 cm spacing.
5.6- Do not include any references in the text.
5.7- Do not include header or footnote (except footnote to item 4.14), or page numbering.
5.8- TITLE OF THE PAPER: in english, font Times New Roman, size 24, with the first letter of each word capitalized.
5.9- NAMES OF AUTHORS: should come just below the title, in font Times New Roman, size 12. in the format Exibir nome IEEE
(default name IEEE) found in the register during the paper submission, with first names abbreviated to initials and punctuated with space
between them, followed by the mother or the father's name (only one), without the use of hyphens, (Mirela Sechi Moretti Annoni Notare, should
be written as follows: M. S. M. A. Notare). Senior Member and Member must be between commas, after the author's name in italics (M. S. M.
A. Notare, Senior Member, IEEE and I. A. Notare, Member, IEEE).
Example:
Name: Itamar Annoni Notare
Wrong: Itamar Annoni-Notare
Right: I. A. Notare or I. Annoni
5.10- ABSTRACT: (a brief summary of the article ) in italic (only the word abstract) and bold, followed by a dash without space (Abstract

; to insert this character , press the ALT key, and the numeric keypad keys 0151), and the text should contain a single paragraph, written in
english and bold, in Times New Roman font size 9. They must be exactly equal to the submission profile.
KEYWORDS: (words identifying the subject of the article) in italic (only the word keywords) and bold, followed by a dash without
space (Keywords ; to insert this character , press the ALT key, and the numeric keypad keys 0151), and the text should contain a single
paragraph, written in english and bold, in Times New Roman font size 9. They must be exactly equal to the submission profile.
5.11- SECTION TITLES: in Times New Roman font size 10, in capital letters and numbered with roman numerals (I. INTRODUCTION).
5.12- TITLE OF THE TABLES: in Times New Roman font size 8, capital letters and numbered with roman numerals (TABLE I.
LEGEND OF THE TABLE.).
5.13- INTRODUCTION: t he first letter of first word in first paragraph must capitulate size of two lines; the remaining letters should be

capitalized; if the word is an paper the next word should also be in capital letters.
5.14- FOOTNOTE: Must have a on the first column of the first page, containing only the authors names, in the format Exibir nome
IEEE (Nome padro IEEE) found in the register during Paper Submission (with first names abbreviated to initials and punctuated with space
between them, followed by the last name written in full, without the use of hyphens), job affiliation, local and email, comma separated, of each
author on its own line in Times New Roman font size 8. Must be exactly equal to the registration. Only this footnote is allowed.
5.15- LEGEND OF FIGURES: should be written out "Figure 1. xxx ", justified to the left in Times New Roman size 8, ending with point;
and text must be "Fig. 1".
5.16- EQUATIONS: should be left justified and numbered with arabic numerals in parentheses right justified.
5.17- APPENDIX: centered title should be like. And each of the appendices justified to the left, labeled Appendix A: xxx, Appendix B:
xxx. The same for Attachments.
5.18- REFERENCES AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: are not numbered, font Times New Roman size 10, and must follow exactly the model
data. It is asked kindly to include in the bibliography, where possible, already published in the magazine according to the link list described
http://www.ewh.ieee.org/reg/9/etrans/eng/published.php.
5.19- BIOGRAPHIE: Include a short biography with pictures of the authors in the size of 1.5 x 1.5 cm. They should come after the
references, untitled section, in Times New Roman font size 8.
5.20- PHOTO OF AUTHORS: Height 2.0 cm and width of 1.5 cm.
ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SPECIAL ISSUES (in addition to the rules described above)
To ensure the quality of the IEEE Latin America Transactions Paper may undergo an external assessment by the reviewers of the
Journal. Follow and also observe the same procedures for regular papers edits. (item 1 to 5).
1- It should contain an introduction/editorial of a page. See the attached model (Template-Modelo Editorial).
2 - The IEEE Latin America Transactions accepts the sending of the best conference papers, maximum number of up to 10 % of the total issued ,
along with their reviews and any replies of authors to reviewers. The editorial board of the Journal may request extended version of papers to be
evaluated is the publication decide whether or not, with no possibility of defense by the authors.
3-The congress organization must inform:
3.1 - The total number of papers published.
3.2 - The qualification of the technical committee.
3.3 How is decided to accept an paper.
3.4 How many reviewers were allocated for the paper.
3.5 - If we analyze an abstract, an extended abstract or final paper.
3.6 - How to choose the best papers if people vote in Congress, the reviewers or recommendation specifies a commission for this.
3.7 - Ensure that the grammar and spelling of the text is good, in Portuguese or Spanish.
