Company
ZAREA Company (Powell, 2004) is the expression of tradition and expertise for wine and
spirits making in Romania.
ZAREA S.A. is one of the major spirits and wines producers in the Romanian
market (Stigum, 1990), with 100 years of expertise dating back to 1912.
Our portfolio integrates 13 traditional local and international brands, covering
the 7 market segments: sparkling wines, still wines, vermouth, bitter, liqueur,
brandy and white spirits.
ZAREA market position in Romania (Nielsen DJ2012):

No. 1 in sparkling beverages category

No. 1 in liqueur category

No. 2 in bitter category

No. 3 in brandy flavoured spirits category

Associates
Zareas main shareholders are Polish company Ambra with 51% of the shares
and Karom Trading Romania company with 36,13% of the shares, booth being
controlled by the German company Schloss Wachenheim which owns several

factories in Germany, Poland, Czech and Romania. Also, the State Assets Recovery

Authority has to Zarea a package of 4.31% of the shares.

At ZAREA, we work in a company with 100 years of tradition and we are proud of
our experience and reputation. Our mission is to delight our consumers in every
special moment of their lives: to offer the joy, excitement and to provide the opportunity

of rediscovering the unique savour of combining the experience given by tradition with the
world's contemporary standards.
We have the vision of becoming the biggest player on Wine and Spirits Romanian
market. We are based on two important drivers: our brands and our people. The
achievement of our vision depends on the contribution and commitment of our
staff. Our values determine the way we work together and the continuous

1.ZAREA Diamond Collection


ZAREA Diamond Collection is the premium experience offered to refined consumers who
appreciate the smooth and sophisticated taste of a sparkling wine obtained through traditional
method of fermentation, perfected since 1912.
The Quality validation is granted by the latest awards:
Silver Medal at International Wine Contest, Bucharest 2009
Silver Medal at INTERDRINKS, Moscow (2007 and 2008)
The only Romanian sparkling wine selected for the International Sparkling Wine
Tasting in Epernay (Champagne region), France 2007

2.ZAREA Crystal Collection


ZAREA Crystal Collection is a high quality sparkling wine obtained from carefully selected
wines using Charmat Method of fermentation, method which preserves the balanced, fresh
and fruity character of the wine.
ZAREA Crystal Collection offers the most complete range of sparkling wines, in a variety of
tastes: Dry, Semidry, Red Semidry, and Sweet Muscat in classic 0,75L SKUs. For fabulous
parties, Semidry assortment is offered also in special packaging: 1,5L (Magnum) and 3L
( Jeroboam).

3.ZAREA Vermouth
ZAREA Vermouth it's the story of the perfect union of natural herbal macerates, wine and
alcohol. With a tradition dating back to 1959, ZAREA Vermouth offers an exceptional
experience of taste. Its high quality is confirmed by the last award: Gold Medal at Interexpo Moscow - 2008.
ZAREA Vermouth has a fragrant, full-bodied and delicate aroma and it is extremely versatile.
It is available in three variants: Vermouth Dry, Vermouth Bianco and Vermouth Rosso.
