BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

:

Identify new business opportunities using relevant research tools,


sector-specific targeting and cold calling.
Generate leads and set appointments.
Develop new business relationships through face-to-face meetings,
presentations, telephone calls, and emails.
Manage the sales process from lead generation to handover to
operations.
Keep abreast of issues affecting BAREs industry and market position;
ethically collect competitor intelligence.
Ensure proactive response to prospective and existing client needs.
Create client proposals, contracts and any further documentation.
Respond to RFQ/RFPs and requests for information in an expedient
manner.
Coordinate with management as applicable to determine client/project
fees.
Nurture business relationship through establishment of trust, credibility,
and honest feedback towards clients on an ongoing basis.
Guide client through technical program features (Apollo/Caspian)
Spot-check project quality, look for continuous improvements, and
ensure BARE is exceeding quality expectations.
Identify operational/fieldwork issues and recommend solutions.
Provide timely updates and feedback to supervisor.
Provide input on new services to marketing and other sales staff as
applicable.
Other duties as business needs require.

Bachelors degree in business or related field or combination of education


and experience equivalent to degree.

Keen understanding of the sales process from lead generation to


handover of projects to operations staff.

Possession of drive, motivation, strong decision-making skills, and acute


attention to detail.

Possession of authentic character to establish trust and build genuine

relationships.

Experience Required:

Strong presentation skills; confidence with persuasive public presentation.

Ability to acquire and apply detailed knowledge of the mystery customer


research industry.

Ability to identify issues and solve problems using available resources.

Ability to interact and communicate effectively and specifically at all levels


of the organization; especially when handing programs over to operations.

Ability to see the business through the prospects eyes; to identify with
clients needs and concerns and to provide answers in a positive, helpful
way.

Ability to maintain cost awareness of individual activity and keep in line


with set budgets.

Ability to keep accurate and accessible tailored documentation to meet


clients needs.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (esp. Excel, Outlook) and


internet-based database systems (prerequisite for learning proprietary
systems).

Minimum 2 years proven sales success with degree.

Reports To:

General Manager or Senior Vice President of Sales (depending on office


location)
International/Managing Director, President (depending on
location)
