Acrostic Bible Verses Used


A man of God prays in the Spirit, hoping in his heart that God will hear it. Ephesians 6:18 “pray in the Spirit on all
occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests”
But when he prays, he goes into his house, and prays to the Father quiet as a mouse. Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go into
your room, close the door and pray to your
Father”
Casting to Him the prayers of his heart; he keeps them simple right from the start. Matthew 6:8 “for your Father knows what
you need before you ask him”
Daring not to babble like a heathen, for a Christian he would not be then. Matthew 6:7 “And when you pray, do not
keep on babbling like pagans”
Every night he goes away, as Jesus went up a mountainside to pray. Matthew 14:23 “he went up on a
mountainside by himself to pray”
For others he prays to the Father, even for those he considers a bother. Matthew 5:44 “Love your enemies and pray
for those who persecute you”
God grants his requests in Jesus’ name, because God refuses to give up His fame. John 14:13 “And I will do whatever you ask
in my name”
Isaiah 42:8 “I am the LORD; that is my
name! I will not give my glory to another”
Holding the man never to blame, Jesus says “ask for anything in my name.” John 14:14 “You may ask me for anything in
my name”
If he is only willing to believe, whatever he asks he’s sure to receive. Matthew 21:22 “If you believe, you will
receive whatever you ask for in prayer”
Justified when his conscience is clear, God above will certainly hear. Romans 3:28 “man is justified by faith”
1 Corinthians 4:4 “My conscience is clear”
1 John 5:14 “if we ask anything according to
his will, he hears us”
Knowing his prayers won’t be heard, if his heart remains unstirred. Jeremiah 12:2 “You are always on their lips
but far from their hearts”
Mark 11:25 “when you stand praying, if you
hold anything against anyone, forgive him”
Loosens his lips, hands raised in the air, up to the Father a heavenly stare. 1 Timothy 2:8 “I want men everywhere to
lift up holy hands in prayer”
John 17:1 “After Jesus said this, he looked
toward heaven and prayed”
Mutters the words of our heavenly King, “Our Father” he starts with a melodious ring. Matthew 6:9 “how you should pray: ‘Our
Father in heaven’ ”
“Not into temptation we’re led, but with our daily bread we’re fed.” Matthew 6:11, 13 “Give us today our daily
bread… lead us not into temptation”
“Our debts forgiven by the only Son, deliver us from the evil one.” Matthew 6:12, 13 “Forgive us our debts…
deliver us from the evil one”
“Power and glory to God alone, yours is the kingdom and heavenly throne.” Matthew 6:13 footnote “yours is the
kingdom and the power and the glory”
Quest for breakthrough and never relent, persistent he prays till it’s carved in cement. Luke 18:1, 22:44 “always pray and not give
up…being in anguish, he prayed more
earnestly”
Revealing His plan the Spirit intercedes, the man keeps praying as the Father leads. Romans 8:26 “We do not know what we
ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself
intercedes for us”
Sounds of frustration and a passionate groan, the will of God for His saints made known. Romans 8:20, 26-27 “subjected to
frustration…groans that words cannot
express…Spirit intercedes for the saints in
accordance with God's will”
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, he prays for God’s glory, the glory He’s due. Matthew 9:37-38 “The harvest is plentiful
but the workers are few…send out workers
into his harvest field”
Utmost attention to his devotion, streaming from His heart a river of emotion. Acts 6:4 “give our attention to prayer”
John 7:38 “streams of living water will flow
from within him”
Various languages roll off his tongue, God’s holy angels to flight they have sprung. 1 Corinthians 14:14 “I pray in a tongue”
Hebrews 1:14 “Are not all angels ministering
spirits sent to serve”
When quiet he sits interpretation will come, in English he listens his tongue gives the sum. 1 Corinthians 14:13 “anyone who speaks in
a tongue should pray that he may interpret
what he says”
Xel the angel appears in swift flight, the man becomes startled half passed midnight. Daniel 9:21 “I was still in prayer, Gabriel…
came to me in swift flight about the time of
the evening sacrifice”
“Your prayers have been answered” the angel resounds, up from his knees the man quickly rebounds. Daniel 9:23 “As soon as you began to pray,
an answer was given”
2 Samuel 12:20 “Then David got up from the
ground”
Zeal for God, this whole affair, has created in him a house of prayer. Mark 11:17 “'My house will be called a
house of prayer”
1 Corinthians 6:19 “your body is a temple of
the Holy Spirit”
