Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Parish Directories
Our
new
Parish
Photo
Directories
have arrived! You
may pick up your
copy in the rectory
between 9 a.m. and 6
p.m., Mon.-Fri. If you
are unable to stop by
the rectory, the remaining directories
will be distributed after the Masses next weekend (Oct. 24-25).
If you did not participate in the photo project
but would like a copy of the directory, extra
copies will be available at the rectory for a donation of $5.00.

Next weekend, Oct. 24-25, we will celebrate

World Mission Sunday. Pope Francis wrote the
following about our call to be missionaries:
Today vast numbers of people still do not
know Jesus Christ. For this reason, the mission
ad gentes (to the Nations) continues to be
most urgent. All the members of the Church
are called to participate in this mission, for the
Church is missionary by her very nature: she
was born to go forth.
Special envelopes for this collection can be
found in the pews. Thank you.

The answer to that unanswered question,

"Why do I have to go to Mass?"
We are surrounded by distractions: music fills
our ear buds, while tweets and posts are constantly checked and updated. We are conditioned to fill any void or silent moment with
noise and stimulation. So instilling an appreciation and enthusiasm for the Mass can be a challenge.
Altaration: The Mystery of the Mass Revealed
is a new five-part study on the Mass that features powerful cinematography, inspiring presenters, and engaging workbook resources. Altaration uses humor, stories and small group
discussion to capture everyone's attention and
instill a deep and lasting love for the Mass.
Join us for Altaration in the Hall beginning
Wednesday, October 21st, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
There will be 5 sessions: 10/21, 10/28, 11/11,
11/18 and 12/02. For more information or to
register for the study group, call Robin Keator
at
