particular attention to the role and development of human intellectual abilities and symbolic beliefs and
practices with contributions from an international cast of academics and field workers. It covers the full
spectrum of natural scientific methods with an emphasis on the archaeological contexts and the questions
being studied. It bridges the gap between archaeologists and natural scientists providing a forum to
encourage the continued integration of scientific methodologies in archaeological research.
The journal also provides a forum where a wide variety of different anthropologies can gather together and
enter into critical exchange. It encourages submissions both from scholars working in anthropology and
those in other disciplines whose work can make a substantial contribution to topics of concern to
anthropologists. Coverage in the journal includes: archaeology, geology/geophysical prospection,
geoarchaeology, geochronology, palaeoanthropology, archaeozoology and archaeobotany, genetics and
other biomolecules, material analysis and conservation science.
The journal publishes original papers that promote theoretical, methodological and empirical
developments within the disciplines of anthropology and archeology. All research articles published in
Journal of Anthropology and Archaeology have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor
screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

minimum of 24-hour is needed Patrick and Griffin (2006) revealed that.
Also ensure that the manuscript file is in Microsoft Word format with the tables and figures
integrated in the manuscript body.
Provide the names, titles, and affiliations of all the authors of this manuscript, in the order that
they appear on the manuscript.
Notes 2:
All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or
theoretical, and will be peer-reviewed. Articles submitted to the MRJ should meet these criteria and must
note be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the journal
