Termed as pabilog na konsepto ng

kalikasan
or
gulong

palad
philosophy
states that nature is characterized by a
cyclic change which is observable in all
realms and domains of life.

All human life is likewise characterized by

birth and death, sickness and health, success and
failure, contentment and frustration, comfort and
discomfort, happiness and sorrow.
Tagalog says;

"Kung may hirap, may ginhawa" (If there is

hardship, there is prosperity)
"Kung may saklap, mayroon ding sarap"( If
there is bitterness, there is also
sweetness)
" Walang tagumpay na sakdal tamis and di
dinilig ng luha't sukdulang pasakit" ( There
is no sweet sucess that is not watered by
extreme pain)
" Pagkahawi na ulap, lilitaw ang liwanag"
( After the cloud die appears, the light
appears)

Tausugs says;

Bukidnon says;

"Sa buhay ay may kalungkutan/ at

mayroon ding kaligayahan/paglipas ng
dilim sisikat ang araw/upang magsimula
ang bagong buhay", ( In life, s there is
sorrow so there is happiness; after the
darkness is gone, the sun rises so that a
new life may start again.
" Sa daigdig ang buhay ay ganyan'
mayroong ligaya at lumbay/ may ngayon
at may nakaraan/ may kahapon ay may
kinabukasan", ( In the world life is really
like that: as there is happiness, so there is
loneliness; as there is the present, so
there is the past; as there is yesterday, so
there is tomorrow.)

Boholanos says;

"Karon malipayon ka pa, ugma na

masulob-on na sab", ( Now you are happy,
tomorrow you will be sad)
" Walay kauswagan kon walay inantusan",
( There is no success if there is no
perseverance)

" Daing kaogmahan na daing tangog na

kamondoan", ( For every joy there is a
correlative sorrow)

Maranaos state;

"So karata a ginhawa na badun

minisundud a kapipiya-a-ginawa", ( Sorrow
is only the postponement of happiness.)

"
Ang
kinangali
nagahatag
sang
kabulusgan bisan sa pinakamahapdi nga
sakit", ( Nature has designed that even
the most excruciating pain has its own
satisfaction.)

Ilocanos songs states in English;

"The situation of a couple: as there is

bitterness,
so
there
is
sweetness;
sometimes there are excesses, at other
times there are shortcomings. Life is
indeed like that: as there is happiness,
there's loneliness . For sure, as there is
darkness, so there is light. Getting sore
and
verbal
altercations
are
but
manifestations of sweet romance."

* " Wheel metaphor", (gulong ng palad)

philosophy- compares life to a wheel which keeps
rolling, turning, revolving, rotating, moving and
changing.

philosophy of change, impermanence and

hope.

Tagalog says;

Human life is like a wheel, what is on top

now will at the bottom tomorrow.
Human life is like a wheel, what is below
now will be at the top tomorrow.

Bicolanos says;

" Sa cona ug ca rasayan na cona ug ca

repayan", ( If there is no hardship there is
no joy.)

humunas",
( After the low tide, the high tide always
follows.)

of

change(

Pilosopiya

ng

teaches that everything is changing and

nothing is permanent; just as a wheel roll
over, its upper part goes down and its
lower part goes up, so that as long as it is
rolling no part is permanently on top or at
the bottom; what is presently at the
bottom will be at the top later, and the
reversal process of going up and going
down continues without end.

* Philosophy of Impermanence (Pilosopiya

ng kasandalian)

states that things,

situations are relative.

Tagalog says;

condition

and

"Araw mo ngayon ay sisikat, sa iba naman

ay bukas; ang katulad mo'y bulaklak, kun
umaga'y sakdal tingkad, sa hapo'y
kumukupas", ( Your sun today rises, just as
for others tomorrow; you are like a flower,
which is no fragrant in the morning , then
in the afternoon it fades.)
" Habang may buhay, may pag-asa"

The Filipino cyclic world-view teaches

about the holistic perception of life. That is,
human existence as a whole is a blending of
pleasure and pain, good and bad, convenience
and inconvenience, health and sickness, love and
hate, hope and despair, joy and sorrow, felicity
and misery, bliss and tears, rest and fatigue,
contentment and dissatisfaction, ecstasy and
despondency, birth and death.
