MALARIA
Indonesia is country which one that is still at risk of malaria. usually the
province with the highest malaria incidence rate in Indonesia is Papua, West Papua,
Maluku, North Maluku,Nusa Tenggara, and eastern region. This Disease can affect
anyone, both adults and children. Malaria is one of acute or chronic infectious
disease transmitted by mosquitoes are caused the plasmodium parasite attacks the
blood cells of human.
There are four types of plasmodium that causes malaria. Plasmodium
falciparum causes malaria tropical. plasmodium this is a cause of severe infection
can even cause death. Plasmodium vivax causes malaria tertiana , this disease
difficult to cure. Plasmodium malariae which causes malaria kuartana. Plasmodium
ovale which causes malaria ovale . From all kind of plasmodium,only one found in
Indonesia is the plasmodium falciparum with severe abnormalities such as anemia,
renal failure and acute pulmonary edema.
Malaria is a disease that difficult to cure. usually people are exposed to
malaria when he was sick with malaria can relapse and may also cause death.
symptoms of this disease such as high fever (fever may reach 104 degrees
Fahrenheit or higher), feeling cold all over his body rigid or shivering, two or three
days is typical, the body feel weak, tired, headache, nausea and Vomiting.
malaria can be prevented by keeping yourself from mosquito bite. If you can,
sleep in a room with screens on windows , or use valance so that mosquitoes can
not enter and bites you. Or using chemicals, especially mosquito pest repellent
spray that contains a chemical called DEET less than 35%, taking anti mosquito in
the hands and feet and also keep the environment clean, so that is not exposed to
malaria.
