The aim of audits is to give management a detailed picture regarding
the standards of health and safety management system within the
organization. It demonstrates that the health and safety management system
is effective. It is critical to ensure that risk control measures provided by the
organization, including equipment and systems of work, are appropriate and
that actions is taken to establish and maintain good standards. Audit findings
could be described in the management review meetings to take appropriate
actions.
These findings can also be used to improve the existing risk
assessments, policy, and procedures if there is any lapse. The audit report
can also be used for benchmarking with other companies audit reports.
Based on an audit report on the existing training systems can be helpful to
identify the lapses in the current system and to implement new training
methods and subjects.
