MobileView / Video Surveillance

Mobile Radio
Transmitter
(MRT)
WiMAX client and Wi-Fi AP

Overview

Standard features

The MobileView MRT combines WiMAX and Wi-Fi radio

technologies into one ruggedized, vehicle-mounted device. This
unique combination makes our mobile radio transmitter perfect for
real-time information exchange, surveillance and vehicle tracking.

WiMAX and Wi-Fi in one package

By integrating WiMAX client and Wi-Fi AP functions in a single

package, the MRT provides long-range, high-capacity WiMAX
connectivity while simultaneously creating a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Powered directly from vehicle or outside source

The 802.16 WiMAX segment provides a network interface with

MobileView base stations installed in depots, stations and along
highways. This connectivity offers the option to link the vehicle to a
MobileView network while at facilities and while the vehicle is in service.
The 802.11 Wi-Fi AP can be configured to provide Internet connectivity
to passengers, network connectivity for employees, and access to
vehicle-mounted DVR cameras in emergency situations.

Mounts easily in vehicles equipped with MobileView

Surveillance systems
Rugged IP-66 rating
BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM
Operates on a wide variety of licensed and license-free frequency
bands: 700 MHz, and 1.5, 1.9, 2.3, 2.5-2.9, 3.3-3.8, 4.9, 5.6, 5.8
and 5.9 GHz
Wi-Fi Access Point or Bridge
Embedded DHCP Server for Wi-Fi connections
Small and easy to install

The MRT features a built-in 4-port switch, which allows individual

on-board networks such as revenue, passenger count, maintenance,
fuel and scheduling to be integrated into a single network. The switch
can be configured to segregate these networks, providing 802.1Q
security and preventing access by unauthorized users.
The MRT connects to MobileView multi-mode external vehiclemounted antennas for Wi-Fi and WiMAX, receives main power direct
from the vehicle, and can have its status controlled by an I/O feed
from the MobileView DVR.
