About this guide

The SpringBoard Portal is a powerful cloud based access portal allowing users to easily and securely
access their LoadSpring hosted applications from anywhere in the world. Not only can you access your
applications but you can view project status from those applications without launching them. SpringBoard
Connect is part of the SpringBoard Portal and is an innovative dashboard solution allowing users to quickly
view project status information without being a full-functional user of applications such as Primavera P6 or
Primavera Contract Management. We have created this guide to walk you through everything you need to
know about SpringBoard Connect. As you read through this guide its helpful to have access to the
SpringBoard so you can try things out.

Highlights
SpringBoard Connect is a dashboard tool that can be added to any dashboard. Dashboards are viewed on

Grid Section

The upper area of SpringBoard Connect contains a grid showing projects that the
SpringBoard User has access to in Primavera P6 or Primavera Contract Management.
The grid contains a series of columns displaying data for the project from Primavera.
Selecting a project in the grid will enable the Charting Section to show visual metrics.
The Grid shows 5 projects at a time and is paginated. The Find feature can be used to
quickly locate a specific project.

Charting Section The lower section of SpringBoard Connect contains a charting area equally split in half
and is configured by the user to visually view two metrics related to data from
Primavera. The charting data is refreshed when a project is selected in the upper Grid
Section.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why do I not see any P6 or CM Environments to select in the Configure dialogue?
Answer: LoadSpring must enable SpringBoard Connect for the P6 and CM environments and databases you wish
LoadSpring Connect to read from. Please contact LoadSpring Support to enable.

2. Why do I not see any projects in the Grid in SpringBoard Connect?

Answer: SpringBoard Connect requires that the user is assigned the application in the SpringBoard and the user has
security permissions within the application to view projects. Please ensure the users are authorized to view data from
the projects in the application. Also, ensure the P6 Web Services module is selected for the user in User Admin within
Primavera P6.

3. Can I change what columns appear in the grid section of SpringBoard Connect?
Answer: Currently, no.

4. Can I view project status information if we only use Contract Management and not
Primavera P6.
Answer: Yes, SpringBoard Connect is flexible enough to enable the use of only P6, only CM or the combination of
both.

5. From the P6 Grid how do I view CM data charts alongside P6 data charts?
Answer: If youre viewing integrated data from P6 and CM the projects between P6 and CM must be linked the
applications. This enables projects to be selected in the P6 Grid and displays charts for CM data alongside data from
P6.

6. I have access to hundreds of projects which takes up over 50 pages within the grid. Is there
a fast way to find a specific project?
Answer: Yes, select the Find button across the top of SpringBoard Connect and search for the project you wish to
jump to.

7. Can we edit the data from Primavera using SpringBoard Connect.

Answer: No, the dashboard is read-only.

8. Is LoadSpring planning to add additional capabilities into SpringBoard Connect?

Answer: Yes, we also can support any custom developed solution for your specific environment.
