2 December 2015

9.00 - 4.30

Developing and Refining Resilience - Building the Strength for Long Term Success and Satisfaction
In any career or personal journey there will inevitably be challenges and setbacks to manage and overcome. Effective leaders arent developed
by a lack of these obstacles but by how they respond to them and grow from those challenging experiences. Resilience is therefore an incredibly
important trait to possess and develop in order to handle the stressors of your life and career in the most productive way.
Often misunderstood as a form of toughness, resilience combines positivity, self-appreciation and confidence to support individuals through difficult
situations, at work, in the family and the community.
This experiential workshop will focus on practical techniques to reduce stress, build resilience and maintain high-performance and productivity.
Whether this means working in an unfamiliar environment, dealing with unconscious bias or being overwhelmed by family demands, this intensive
workshop will help you to develop the best mindset for success. You will develop a toolkit for overcoming stress and difficult circumstances and
rejuvenating performance in order to optimise your capacity to lead in any sector. This workshop will explore:
The key components of resilient leadership
The characteristics of resilient leaders
Being assertive in the face of adversity
Resilience in practice
Mastering your emotions - Developing your ability to remain clear, calm and focused under pressure
Fostering physical strength and vitality - A key element of effective leadership
Believing in yourself and your abilities
Developing resilience and understanding
Developing resilience as the cornerstone of your leadership toolkit
Leading with perspective and purpose and why strategic awareness trumps both
Optimising your ability to influence through change and uncertainty
Managing personal and professional set-backs effectively
Developing your ability to lead with enhanced emotional resilience and self-awareness

Expert Facilitator: Patina Edwards CFMW., M.A. Research Consultant, Certified Access Consciousness Facilitator

Patina is a conscious lifestyle and relationship facilitator and coach inspiring people to realise their limitless potential and unique talents, and by truly
being themselves, make a difference in the world. She sees that wa- hine Ma- ori can be a huge contribution to their wh a- nau, hapu- and iwi, to their
businesses and workplaces and to the world at large.
As a coach, Patina doesnt give people answers. Instead she empowers people to know what is true for them. The obstacles you experience in
professional and personal life can be overcome when you follow your knowing and trust your awareness. In essence, Patina shows people how to do
that so they can create dynamic change in their personal relationships, in their careers, with their bodies and money flows.
Wa- hine who do not want to go through life on autopilot, who desire to be more at ease standing out rather than trying to fit, who are demanding that
their personal health, wealth and happiness are a priority and essential to being an outstanding and resilient leader, will benefit from the diverse tools
Patina offers.
