Architects Preservation Massachusetts will lead a preservation workshop for the

Northborough area community. The workshop is intended to inform attendees
about the importance of developing a National Register Program for your

community. Local historical commission and historic district members,
Forest City planners, historians, members of municipal and non profit organizations, and

the National Trust for Historic Salem Athanaeum Celebrates 200 Years in 2010!
Preservation
The Salem Athenæum, a preeminent cultural institution, marks its 200th year
Michele P. Barker in 2010. With its collection of historic and contemporary books and quality
Dorr Fox programming comprised of lectures, courses, and concerts, the Athenæum will

world.

The celebration will continue yearlong with programs featuring contemporary

those wishing to delve more deeply into the 19th century, the Athenæum will

Massachusetts! British Literature (January 21 to March 4), including an optional 12-day
trip to Egypt in March. The second course will offer an opportunity to learn
about William Bentley's Salem (April 12 to May 10), featuring the historic
