!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is HIGHLY suggested that the illusion folder be in your C:\

(C:\illusion\)
DO NOT RUN Artificial Academy HF Patch UNTIL YOU READ ABOUT IT
(SCROLL TO THE VERY BOTTOM)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First Things First
First, run "aa.reg"
This makes it so your computer thinks you installed Artificial Academy. Doing
this is required to play the game. If you don't want the game in the folder
mentioned above, you have to make your own registry file. "Making a Reg"
Secondly, install "HF pAppLoc.exe".
This adds "Run with Japanese locale" and "Run with Japanese locale as
administrator" to your right-click menu. It's very useful for playing
Japanese games that don't want to work on your English computer.

English Translation (Sept. 3, 2011)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Playing the Game

For the character editor, launch "Loader.exe" in \AAMaker.

For the actual game, right click "AAPlay English" and "Run with Japanese
locale as administrator" in \AA.
Included in this is "AAXPlay English.exe" which makes it so your character
will automatically answer when spoken to. Basically it puts it in auto-run
mode.
I've also included three special shortcuts that automatically "Run with
Japanese locale as administrator" upon double-clicking. Place them where you
wish and edit their paths to link to the game.
--------Getting started:
Because the game is so confusing to start up,
your class going. First, make some characters
easy to do so there's no need to explain that
seats in this game, but you don't really need

I'll try to explain how to get

in the editor. That's pretty
further. There are 25 open
to fill them all.

Anyway, when you got your class, start up the actual game, and start the new
game. You'll be in bedroom. Click the top-right book and you'll get a the
seating arrangement for your classroom. Here there are 3 blue buttons to the
bottom-right that let you (going from left to right) remove students, enroll
students, or place the students around at random.
Place your students. Now, you can right-click to leave, once you do, you
won't be able to edit the students again until after school! Anyway, go back
to the bedroom and go BACK to the classroom seating layout. Now you can
change your character. Click on the character you want to control and you
should see a star on their information.
When you're done, click "Go to School." And there you go!
---------Additional help:
This game all clicking. Press ESC to open up the legend (you'll need it, the
icons are confusing as hell). If you're running AAXPlay, press F3 for an
extra options menu. You can quickly switch your target with the A and S keys
or rolling the mouse wheel.

----------Making a Reg
Those who put the game folder in the location mentioned in at the top of the
Readme do not need to do this.
1. Make a new text document.
2. Paste this into the contents:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\illusion\AAEdit]
"INSTALLDIR"="C:\\illusion\\AAMaker\\"
"PRODUCTNAME"=" W
R E K N G
"
"VERSION"=dword:00000064
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\illusion\AAPlay]
"INSTALLDIR"="C:\\illusion\\AA\\"

"PRODUCTNAME"=" W
R E K N G
"VERSION"=dword:00000064

"

3. Change the
"INSTALLDIR"="C:\\illusion\\AAMaker\\"
"INSTALLDIR"="C:\\illusion\\AA\\"
to match your chosen directory. Keep the double \\ where applicable.
4. Save and rename the file to "aa.reg" to change it to a Registery file.
Make sure you enable file extensions so you may change it.
Win7: Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View -> Hide Extensions for...
WinXP: Just open up a folder, click Tools, then go to Properties.
I forgot the exact instructions, but it's something like that.
---------(My) Characters:
I made "realistic" characters for each personality type in the game.
"Realistic" meaning they don't have crazy hairstyles or colors in their hair
or eyes. I also handpicked each trait and taste instead of spamming the
random option.
I also made a few characters from a couple of popular Japanese media. However
these and several of the "realistic" characters I made are kept seperate for
easy "randomize classroom" option when starting the game. (It's a hassle to
weed out my nonfavorite characters and place characters that aren't present;
this was done for myself, not you guys).
To find the characters I made, go into AAMaker/data/save/female. All
characters in the /female folders are being used. The ones in /Extra and
/Fanmade aren't. Just move them into the /female folder and they'll appear as
options for enrollment. If you want to maintain an easy "randomize classroom"
with your favorite characters, I would suggest removing some male characters
to maintain a 25 avaliable character stock.
And yes, the game saves all characters are simple .png files. You can download
them from anywhere, just drop them in and you have the character.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Illusion Wizzard and AAMake2Decrypt
---------Illusion Wizzard
Illusion Wizzard is a program that helps install and manage mods. It also keeps
them from conflicting with each other (?). What you do is drop the mod (which
should be packaged into a .7zip) into
"C:\illusion\AA\wizzard\AA_PLAY\mods"
and run "Illusion_Wizzard.exe" and apply your mods. The interface is pretty
easy to understand and well built.
Note: Illusion Wizzard has been setup to load and install mods on Artifical
Academy by default. I forgot how to change it to edit different Illusion
games, but if you have other Illusion games, you probably can figure it out
yourself.
Inside the 7zip's root it should have AA and AAMaker, and inside those should
be the folder with all the mod changes that'll be done to the .pp file. Most
modders will say if their mod is setup for Wizzard.

---------AAMake2Decrypt
This little guy is found in the data folders of both AA and AAMaker. A more
raw way to apply mods, you drag the the selected .pp file into
"AAMake2Decrypt.exe", and it'll start decrypting it into a folder with the same
name as the .pp file. After that you replace select items from the folder with
your mod, then drag the folder into AAMake2Decrypt and it makes a new .pp file
and backs up your old one.
This can be done with mods and original files alike. It's here in case you wish
to install only parts of a mod or wish to install certain options a mod may
contain.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Artificial Academy HF Patch and English Translation
---------Artificial Academy HF Patch
I have included the last "Artificial Academy HF Patch.exe" I had with this
game. It's not necessary to use, but for those who dislike the dildo choice
I made, want to try the other male uncensor avaliable, want to use less
detailed animation models, want to keep it as a backup, or find my prepatched
game not to be working, this is for you.
---------English Translation
Also included is the last translation released for backlog purposes. It's
already been installed, but will have to be installed again if one were to run
Artificial Academy HF Patch. Be warned, you'll need to use AAMake2Decrypt to
install it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Who to Thank
Not me. All I did was write this shitty readme.
Thank the brilliant modding community at Hongfire and Uppervolt.
Also thank zest007 for mentioning the registery file.
