be said to be the crown or ornament of life.
TESTIMONY - testimony is a form of evidence that is obtained from a witness who makes a solemn statement
or declaration of fact. Testimony denotes the Divine truth which testifies concerning the Lord; thus the Word,
for in the supreme sense the Word discusses the Lord alone, and consequently in the internal sense it testifies
concerning Him; that is it teaches Him and the truths of faith and the goods of love which are from Him. In this
sense testimony is used also in the Revelation: Who were slain for the word of Gad, and for the testimony
which they held (Rev. 6:9). They overcame the dragon by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their
testimony (Rev. 12:11) the blood of the Lamb denotes the Divine truth that proceeds from the Lord and the
word of the testimony denotes the Divine truth received by man; in like manner in (Rev 12:17; 19:10).
The Divine truth which proceeds from the Lord is called the testimony because it testifies concerning the Lord,
as is evident from the words of the Lord Himself in JOHN He that cometh from above is above all, And what
He hath seen and heard, that He testifieth; He that receiveth His testimony hath set his seal that God is true
JOHN 3:31-33. I am He that testifieth of Myself, and the Father that sent Me testifieth of Me JOHN 8:18.
Search the Scriptures, and these are they which testify of Me JOHN 5:39. The Paraclete, the Spirit of truth, He
shall testify of Me JOHN 15:26. From these passages it is evident that the Divine truth is called the testimony
for the reason that it testifies concerning the Lord. This Divine truth is the Word, as said before, in the supreme
sense the Word advises of the Lord alone; consequently the Word is Divine, and from this comes its holiness.
The Ten Words also, that is, the Law promulgated from Mount Sinai, and inscribed on the two tables, and
stored up in the ark, is what is here called the Testimony. That this Law signifies the Word, that is, the Divine
truth proceeding from the Lord, in its whole complex. That it is the Lord from whom comes the Divine truth, is
plain from His words to Pilate: Pilate saith, Art thou a King? Jesus answered, Thou sayest I am a King. To this
was I born, and for this am I come into the world, that I should give testimony to the truth JOHN 18:37; by a
king in the internal sense is signified the Divine truth; and therefore He said I am a king, and to this was I born,
that I should give testimony to the truth, that is, that He is the Divine truth. From all this it is now plain that by
the Testimony in the ark is signified the Divine truth, thus too the Lord in heaven, JESUS CHRIST.
Another important revelation God wants us to understand here is our born again testimony of making Jesus
Christ our personal Lord and Savior; it is literally a divine seed of GOD that gets implanted in the heart's of the
unsaved whose heart's are fertile (which the Holy Spirit has tilled) when they either read your Jesus-glorifying
testimony or hear it, if it is shared in humble appreciation for what Jesus Christ means to you and what He has
accomplished for you through His death, burial and resurrection! (In other words, How your testimony is
shared is crucially important).
3] "And they did not love their lives to the death" is addressing total surrender to God in that even if called to
have to do so - die as a martyr for one's faith in Jesus Christ. Once one is no longer afraid to die for their faith
in Jesus Christ and all He stands for (however painfully cruel that death might be), Satan is no longer able to
use fear to control them.
Everything we need to know to please God has been written in the Holy Bible,
and the Holy Spirit is FULLY QUALIFIED to give us more than sufficient
illumination of the truths in the Holy Bible - especially if our heart's desire is to
please God every way He would desire we please Him. If there is any small
doubt in your mind regarding this matter - BEWARE! Satan already has an
open door into your mind! A Christian who has diligently studied God's Word
and diligently dug in with the Holy Spirit to know how to wisely APPLY God's
Word in all of life's situations - this is the "Word of our testimony" that God is
telling us to use in every waking moment of our life here on this planet if we
want to walk in maximized victory in our relationship with God. Saying it
another way - when our confession lines up with God's wisely applied Word
because we have chosen to elevate God's Word as the FINAL say in all matters
human and spiritual - we are honoring God in probably the HIGHEST way we
can honor Him in this life, other than giving him full obedience to His
commands in the New Testament Bible (See Revelation 12:17)
LUKE 8:38-39 Jesus sent him away, saying, Return to thine own house, and
shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and
published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
Testimonies, Publications, Prayers, Supplications, Decreeing a Thing are all
for a purpose. In all things give Glory to God and that is the ultimate
purpose; 1 PETER 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God
in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and
dominion for ever and ever. Amen. COL 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word
or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the
Father by him. We must believe and stand on the entire Word of God as
truth. We must also share this truth with all peoples/nations. In order to share
this truth we must first know it! We also need to stand on the promises God
has written. In order to do this we must know those promises. We must
believe in our prayer petitions as accomplishing what we request however we
cannot ask amiss as spoke of in Warning against Pride in JAMES 4:1
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even
of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and
desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because
ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that
the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a
friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith
in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more
grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the
humble. And also explained in PSALM 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart,
the Lord will not hear me: 19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended
to the voice of my prayer. We have to be acting without deceit, not being
hypocritical in prayer and not having any evil intentions in our petitions for
God to hear them and answer them.
1 JOHN 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the
confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we
know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. This is
written to those who have received the truth of salvation, overcomers of the world, those born of God, who are
in Christ (baptized into Christ). So you must know God to petition God and for your petitions to be effective
you stand on His promises. You cannot take these out of context and if there are any stipulations for a promise
they must be adhered to as well. So let your petitions be heard and defeat the enemy, taking back all that he has
stolen. Make these things known; publish your decrees and testimonies and be a light in this world of darkness
standing on Gods Word. Praise be to our Glorious, Awesome GOD, JESUS CHRIST! Amen
