The Five Crowns in the Bible for Believers

There are five Crowns which can be given to believers,

found in the scriptures.
The Incorruptible Crown: 1 Cor. 9:24,25. This is also
called the imperishable crown. This crown is given to
believers who faithfully run the race, who crucify every
selfish desire in the flesh and point men to Jesus.
The Crown of Rejoicing: 1 Thess. 2:19, 20. & Dan 12:3 To
those who faithfully are witnesses to the saving grace of God
and leads souls to Jesus. This crown has also been named the
soul winner's crown.
The Crown of Life: James 1:12. For those believers who
endure trials, tribulations, and severe suffering, even unto
death Rev. 2:8-11. This crown is also referred to as the
martyr's crown.
The Crown of Righteousness: 2 Tim. 4:8. To those who
love the appearing of Christ, who anxiously wait and look
forward to the day when He will return for His saints. This
crown is given to those who have lived a good and righteous
life for God while living down here on earth.
The Crown of Glory: 1 Pet. 5:1~4. This is the pastors
crown and will be given to the ministers who faithfully feed
the flock of God. . This probably could also include
preachers, teachers, Sunday School teachers, missionaries
and all those who teach the Word of God in their respective
ministries.
1 Cor. 9:24,25 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but
one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And
everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now
they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable
crown.
1 Thess. 2:19,20 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it
not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For
you are our glory and joy.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has
been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has
promised to those who love Him.
2 Tim. 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and
not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
1 Peter 5:1~4 The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow
elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the
glory that will be revealed: Shepherd the flock of God which is among
you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for
dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to
you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd
appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

be said to be the crown or ornament of life.
TESTIMONY - testimony is a form of evidence that is obtained from a witness who makes a solemn statement
or declaration of fact. Testimony denotes the Divine truth which testifies concerning the Lord; thus the Word,
for in the supreme sense the Word discusses the Lord alone, and consequently in the internal sense it testifies
concerning Him; that is it teaches Him and the truths of faith and the goods of love which are from Him. In this
sense testimony is used also in the Revelation: Who were slain for the word of Gad, and for the testimony
which they held (Rev. 6:9). They overcame the dragon by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their
testimony (Rev. 12:11) the blood of the Lamb denotes the Divine truth that proceeds from the Lord and the
word of the testimony denotes the Divine truth received by man; in like manner in (Rev 12:17; 19:10).
The Divine truth which proceeds from the Lord is called the testimony because it testifies concerning the Lord,
as is evident from the words of the Lord Himself in JOHN He that cometh from above is above all, And what
He hath seen and heard, that He testifieth; He that receiveth His testimony hath set his seal that God is true
JOHN 3:31-33. I am He that testifieth of Myself, and the Father that sent Me testifieth of Me JOHN 8:18.
Search the Scriptures, and these are they which testify of Me JOHN 5:39. The Paraclete, the Spirit of truth, He
shall testify of Me JOHN 15:26. From these passages it is evident that the Divine truth is called the testimony
for the reason that it testifies concerning the Lord. This Divine truth is the Word, as said before, in the supreme
sense the Word advises of the Lord alone; consequently the Word is Divine, and from this comes its holiness.
The Ten Words also, that is, the Law promulgated from Mount Sinai, and inscribed on the two tables, and
stored up in the ark, is what is here called the Testimony. That this Law signifies the Word, that is, the Divine
truth proceeding from the Lord, in its whole complex. That it is the Lord from whom comes the Divine truth, is
plain from His words to Pilate: Pilate saith, Art thou a King? Jesus answered, Thou sayest I am a King. To this
was I born, and for this am I come into the world, that I should give testimony to the truth JOHN 18:37; by a
king in the internal sense is signified the Divine truth; and therefore He said I am a king, and to this was I born,
that I should give testimony to the truth, that is, that He is the Divine truth. From all this it is now plain that by
the Testimony in the ark is signified the Divine truth, thus too the Lord in heaven, JESUS CHRIST.

REVELATION 1211 And they overcame

him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; and they loved
not their lives unto the death.
WHAT IS "THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY"
Revelation 12:11
THAT OVERCOMES SATAN?
Revelation 12:11 is giving Christians 3 different categories of effective spiritual
strategies to use to overcome Satan's never-ending attacks upon their minds and
bodies. 1] "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb" is essentially the
truth of the Good News of the Christian Gospel message. None other than God
HIMSELF shed His innocent blood on the cross so that mankind can have total
forgiveness for their sins - receive the imputed righteousness of God that is the
ONLY righteousness God will find acceptable on the Judgment Day to stay
with Him for all eternity - and be at peace with God no matter how intense the
demonic battle rages against them to try to somehow shipwreck (hinder, slowdown, rob, steal) their confidence in God. 2] "And they overcame him by the
word of their testimony" - It is applying the Word of God wisely to every
situation we face -- that is what God wants us to understand in the above
scripture. It can be expressed this way: "And they overcame him by the
WORD." -- HIS WORD! To hopefully bring clearer understanding ... it may be
better understood to say, "And they overcame him by the Word." Consistent
with so many other scriptures given in the Old and New Testament Bible,
believing and standing on the wisely applied Word of God when human
intellect would appear to say something ELSE ... this is how God tells
Christians "to take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ." (See
2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
Satan does NOT want you understanding - let alone believing - your POSITION IN CHRIST. Your position
in Christ grants you ALL authority of every demonic attack Satan tries to launch against you. It qualifies
you to use your authority in Christ to execute deliverance of demonic influence in the lives of others.
Your position in Christ qualifies your prayer/s to be every bit as powerful as anyone else's prayers on
this planet. Your position in Christ makes you so secure that God the Father will let NO ONE pluck you
out of His hands. But you must understand all there is to learn about your position in Christ Jesus.

Another important revelation God wants us to understand here is our born again testimony of making Jesus
Christ our personal Lord and Savior; it is literally a divine seed of GOD that gets implanted in the heart's of the
unsaved whose heart's are fertile (which the Holy Spirit has tilled) when they either read your Jesus-glorifying
testimony or hear it, if it is shared in humble appreciation for what Jesus Christ means to you and what He has
accomplished for you through His death, burial and resurrection! (In other words, How your testimony is
shared is crucially important).
3] "And they did not love their lives to the death" is addressing total surrender to God in that even if called to
have to do so - die as a martyr for one's faith in Jesus Christ. Once one is no longer afraid to die for their faith
in Jesus Christ and all He stands for (however painfully cruel that death might be), Satan is no longer able to
use fear to control them.

TEST'IMONY, n. L. testimonium. A solemn

declaration or affirmation made for the purpose of
establishing or proving some fact. Such affirmation in
judicial proceedings, may be verbal or written, but
must be under oath. Testimony differs from evidence;
testimony is the declaration of a witness, and evidence
is the effect of that declaration on the mind, or the
degree of light which it affords.

The gospel, which testifies of Christ and

declares the will of God. 1 Cor. 2. 2 Tim.1. The
ark. Ex.16. The word of God; the Scriptures. The
testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the
simple Ps.19. The laws or precepts of God. "I
love thy testimonies." "I have kept thy
testimonies." That which is equivalent to a
declaration; manifestation. Sacrifices were
appointed by God for a testimony of his hatred of
sin. Evidence suggested to the mind; as the
testimony of conscience. 2 Cor.1. Attestation;
confirmation. Witness; evidence; proof of some
fact. Shake off the dust under your feet, for a
testimony against them. Mark 6.
In EPH 6:10-18 are the spiritual weapons God has given us
to counter Satan's attacks, and sharing one's personal
testimony is not included in them. Rather - EPH 6:17 reads:
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God. In Jesus' 40 day encounter with
Satan in the desert, what weapon did the Holy Spirit reveal to
us for today that Jesus used against Satan's temptations? "It is
written" - and then Jesus would quote to Satan the wisely
applied scripture that addressed the temptation. Satan had no
comeback when Jesus quoted Him back the Word during that
40 day confrontation in the desert. Satan may attempt to try
to convince us that quoting him the Word has no effect on
His plans for our lives TODAY, but he's bluffing. He's lying.
God has not allowed Satan to have power over God's wisely
Know HIS Word,
(correctly) applied Word. The best Satan can do is to do
Know HIS Will
everything he can to try to get people to believe that the
Word of God can't be trusted and/or has been inaccurately
translated ("Therefore don't trust it" - sayeth Satan,
ESPECIALLY if it calls something a sin that we don't like,
such as homosexuality being a sin that the Bible says it IS, or
sex outside of marriage IS a sin, as examples). Satan can get
people to twist Holy Scripture out of context (UNWISELY
misunderstood and UNWISELY misapplied) which cults and
false prophets ("well-meaning" Christians included) thrive in
doing, because Satan knows God does NOT honor His Word
when it is being used out of context, no matter how much we
quote it out of context ... let alone try to make it fit our
situation.

Here is what God has to say about His Word

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the
division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
(Hebrews 4:12) And if we have any lingering doubt about how serious God is about the words in the Bible He
has recorded for mankind to live their lives by: "Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will by no
means pass away." (Matthew 24:35; Luke 21:33) Jesus said, "If ye continue in my Word, then are ye my
disciples indeed;" (John 8:31). Satan's attacks (attempted mind control) over people becomes so much easier
when people don't believe the ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY and TRUSTWORTHY ACCURACY of God's
Word. Or - maybe they just haven't studied God's Word sufficiently enough to be able to STAND on His Word
when it's time to BELIEVE it and KEEP believing it as doctrinal disputes and/or as personal conflict arises.
Believing and confessing God's wisely applied Word as the FINAL SAY on every situation we face in this life
are the - the words of our testimony - that Satan hates. The more we are equipped to know HOW to wisely
apply God's Word to every situation life confronts us with - the greater victory we'll maintain in our relationship
with God. Conversely - the less we know how to apply God's Word to each and every situation we face in this
life - the easier it is for Satan to control our thought-life (And remember: Our ultimate actions start with what
we first think). In case you haven't noticed, near tops on Satan's agenda is to discredit the Holy Bible, (Old and
ESPECIALLY the New Testament) every way he can think of. If Satan can keep a person ignorant of God's
Word; get people to not trust God's Word; get people to misapply scripture in regards to their situation or the
situation of others - he can make HUGE headway in keeping that Christian from becoming ALL that God
would like that Christian to become, which most likely will cause a loss of eternal rewards for them.
Another tactic of Satan is to attempt to deceive people into
believing that writings other than the Old and New
Testament Bible are ALSO God's word(s). When the
exclusivity of the Holy Bible being God's sole final
authority on all matters spiritual and eternal becomes
"questionable", then it is "up for grabs" as to WHAT can be,
and IS, God's written and/or spoken authority and what isn't.
The Book of Mormon is not in any way God's word, no
matter how they try to spin it, though a fully deceived
Mormon will try to convince you differently. The Koran is
not God's word, though devout yet deceived Muslims will
try to convince you differently. (Other examples could be
given). God's word is SOLELY recorded in the Old and
New Testament. Everything humanity needs to know in how
to please God is recorded in the Old and New Testament
Bible. Anyone willing to believe and TEACH differently
will find out the hard way on the Judgment Day (See James
3:1). Revelation 22:18-19 is a very sobering directive
regarding such: For I testify to everyone who hears the
words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these
things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in
this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the
book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the
Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which
are written in this book. Could it be made much clearer? Do
NOT mess with God's Word! Be quick to testify to its first,
complete and final authority on what is spiritual truth and
what is not, and never waver. That's the greatest "word of
your testimony" Satan goes into a seething rage over! No
OTHER spoken or written words are needed to explain the
Holy Bible.

Everything we need to know to please God has been written in the Holy Bible,
and the Holy Spirit is FULLY QUALIFIED to give us more than sufficient
illumination of the truths in the Holy Bible - especially if our heart's desire is to
please God every way He would desire we please Him. If there is any small
doubt in your mind regarding this matter - BEWARE! Satan already has an
open door into your mind! A Christian who has diligently studied God's Word
and diligently dug in with the Holy Spirit to know how to wisely APPLY God's
Word in all of life's situations - this is the "Word of our testimony" that God is
telling us to use in every waking moment of our life here on this planet if we
want to walk in maximized victory in our relationship with God. Saying it
another way - when our confession lines up with God's wisely applied Word
because we have chosen to elevate God's Word as the FINAL say in all matters
human and spiritual - we are honoring God in probably the HIGHEST way we
can honor Him in this life, other than giving him full obedience to His
commands in the New Testament Bible (See Revelation 12:17)

Bottom line: Anytime anyone makes a claim or tries to teach

you something that is inconsistent with the Bible, you should
know right away that it is wrong. But you have to know what
a trustworthy translation of the Bible says in order to make a
wise judgment call! So - study, study, prayerfully study
God's Holy Word to know what the REAL is - so you can
spot deception (the false) when you're being confronted with
it. Additionally: Just because masses of humanity start to
believe a thing does NOT mean God endorses it. It makes no
difference if millions or billions of people believe a given
thing. If what they are believing disagrees with God's clearly
revealed Word - the masses are believing lies and spiritual
deception. The same applies to "human logic." When our
human logic - human reasoning - wants to believe contrary to
the clearly revealed Word of God - our logic - human
reasoning - has to be thrown in a garbage can to be hauled
off to the public dump to be burned to ashes. If there is one
thing to remember in all things spiritual - God LOVES to be
honored. When we fall for Satan's lies and deception and
become passionate about passing our deception along to
others - God sees that as dishonoring Him. If you want
maximized blessing from God, do everything it says to do in
His Word to honor Him. Refraining from being caught up in
spiritual deception as to what is God's Word and what isn't and how God's word is to be wisely applied - is the wisest
place to start giving honor to God.

The Great Commission (Mark 16:14-18) MATTHEW 28:16 Then

the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where
Jesus had appointed them. v17 And when they saw him, they
worshipped him: but some doubted. v18 And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
v19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: v20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.

JESUS speaking And that repentance and remission of sins

should be preached in His name among all nations LUKE 24:47
We are to make known to all humanity the Name above all names Jesus Christ and
His offer of eternal salvation. By the Word of our testimony; the Gospel of Jesus
Christ which is Gods truth as written in the Holy Bible and let this be known to the
lost, the ignorant and any in need of salvation. There are those whom choose to base
their salvation on one scripture leaving out all the other truths that are written in the
Word of God. For whatever reason they are either blinded by traditions of men or
they simply choose to continue in their own lusts and sin so they devise that one line
in the Bible will be their salvation and they discredit the rest of the Word as being
irrelevant. That is improper application of Gods Word and is called the doctrine of
partiality or whereby believing a half truth is sufficient in determining ones
salvation because the whole truth would mean obedience, submission and denying
sin and self. So rather then comply with all of what God stipulates for salvation we
instead see man/womans shortened versions which includes say this prayer with
me. That being the sinners prayer which they say is your salvation and that by
reciting those words with them you are now in the body of Christ and part of the
family. You can say God hears all prayers but His Word says this: Proverbs 28:9 If
anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable. Proverbs
15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
JOHN 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a
worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. So by doing His Will are
your prayers heard and what is His Will? His Word is His Will and by that you are
to do what He commands of you. Jesus says if you love me you will keep my
commands. And what did He command in MATTHEW 28:19 but to baptize. This
is reaffirmed in ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. So once past the stumbling blocks of believing
you are saved simply by citing a sinners prayer, you come into compliance of Gods
Will and you are baptized into the body of Christ by full immersion water baptism
then are you a new man/woman and your sins are covered by the blood of Christ.
Buried with Him by baptism ROMANS 6:4 ye have obeyed from the heart; being
then made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness ROMANS 6:17-18.
Now your petitions can be heard!

petitions are answered when they
coincide with GODs Promises

LUKE 8:38-39 Jesus sent him away, saying, Return to thine own house, and
shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and
published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
Testimonies, Publications, Prayers, Supplications, Decreeing a Thing are all
for a purpose. In all things give Glory to God and that is the ultimate
purpose; 1 PETER 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God
in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and
dominion for ever and ever. Amen. COL 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word
or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the
Father by him. We must believe and stand on the entire Word of God as
truth. We must also share this truth with all peoples/nations. In order to share
this truth we must first know it! We also need to stand on the promises God
has written. In order to do this we must know those promises. We must
believe in our prayer petitions as accomplishing what we request however we
cannot ask amiss as spoke of in Warning against Pride in JAMES 4:1
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even
of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and
desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because
ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that
the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a
friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith
in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more
grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the
humble. And also explained in PSALM 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart,
the Lord will not hear me: 19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended
to the voice of my prayer. We have to be acting without deceit, not being
hypocritical in prayer and not having any evil intentions in our petitions for
God to hear them and answer them.
1 JOHN 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the
confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we
know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. This is
written to those who have received the truth of salvation, overcomers of the world, those born of God, who are
in Christ (baptized into Christ). So you must know God to petition God and for your petitions to be effective
you stand on His promises. You cannot take these out of context and if there are any stipulations for a promise
they must be adhered to as well. So let your petitions be heard and defeat the enemy, taking back all that he has
stolen. Make these things known; publish your decrees and testimonies and be a light in this world of darkness
standing on Gods Word. Praise be to our Glorious, Awesome GOD, JESUS CHRIST! Amen

And we are HIS witnesses of these

things; and so is also the Holy Ghost,
whom God hath given to them that
obey Him ACTS 5:32
So just how important is obedience to salvation? Many are they whom follow the traditions of men and say we
dont need baptism, we dont need evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost, why we dont even need to stop
sinning because all that was taken care of at the cross. Lumped into a bad loaf with a lot of leaven are those on
the broad way to destruction! More and more it seems that so many choose to follow their own way rather then
being obedient to what God says. They diminish or eliminate any scripture that disagrees with their theology
and their way to heaven even like those in ACTS 5 whom wanted to stop Peter and the other apostles from
teaching to the point they wanted to slay them. Now the other night I heard a believer (of over some 40 years)
who was doing an online teaching say 5 is the number for grace and he went on to say this is why we see
ROMANS is the fifth book in the New Testament. And I thought what happened to the book of ACTS? If this
was just a simple oversight I would have to say it is a pretty big oversight. But I would also have to say from
what I have heard this person teach that it goes along with their theology because they believe conversion into
the body of Christ takes place at the time you say I believe. I can testify that I was one of those believers for a
very long time and nothing changed in my life. I would say I believe but I just continued to live as I always
had and nothing felt any different and no aspect of my life was any different but I was supposedly saved
because I said those 2 words. Now I feel more like I should have been asked long ago Have ye received the
Holy Ghost since ye believed? Because I would have responded in like manner We have not so much as
heard whether there be any Holy Ghost ACTS 19:2-3. Although most everyone now says they have the Holy
Ghost they dont need evidence of speaking in new tongues nor do they need any gifts such as prophecy (ACTS
19:6) and most of them that I have heard have never had hands laid on them to receive nor do they lay hands on
anyone else. Baptism is an after thought to most of them because their belief is that conversion occurred when
they said I believe even though ACTS 3:19 states Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may
be blotted out they place no connection on this and ACTS 2:38 Repent and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The
importance of being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and not the titles is reiterated in ACTS 19:5 has they
were re-baptized just like I was because I did not know whether I had been baptized in the name of Jesus or if I
had been baptized in titles. So why is it so many exclude the book of ACTS and try to short cut their way to the
kingdom of God? Why would they teach something that is not the full truth? I suppose it is like an article I
read recently about trainspotting. Just because a train doesnt pass by your house doesnt mean trains dont
exist but in their minds they believe they have the answers to salvation because they do it their way and that
should suffice not only for them but all those they teach as well.
So let me caution those who favor these teachings and try to shorten the
