SFTP CAE Analysis Proposal

For Stamod Engineering

Date : 20/03/2015

P.1

Burst Test

Objective:

Procedure

Meshing the parts as per non linear static analysis reuirements

Applying material, properties, contacts, loading, BC, evaluation block, control cards
Performing non linear static analysis
Creating executive report with contours and animation of deformations, strain, stress and
predicting if assembly has cracks or permanant deformations

Inputs

To validate the Assembly for 30 Bar pressure and evaluate if assembly has cracks or permanat
deformations. For detailed loading see Appendix 1

CAD data in IGES and Step format

Material propertis with quasi static stress strain (with 0 strain rate )
Passing criteria

Outputs

Executive report with contours and animation of deformations, strain, stress and predicting if
assembly has cracks or permanant deformations

P.2

Burst Test

Assumption:

Out of scope

CAD Modifictaions
CAE Optimisation

Duration

Material is assumed to be isentropic, i.e. material properties are same in all the directions
No material faiure is considered in analysis
Analysis is carried out at room temperature i.e. 23 deg C

7 working days

Cost

Rs 54000 + Taxes as applicable

P.3

Dynamic Durablity

Objective:

Procedure

Meshing the parts as per non linear static analysis reuirements

Applying material, properties, contacts, loading, BC, evaluation block, control cards
Performing non linear static analysis as per loads in appendix 2
Evaluating the Fatigue life using Goodman theory using the Fatigue correction factors and S-N curve.
Creating executive report with contours and animation of deformations, strain, stress and Life of
assembly

Inputs

To evaluate the life of assembly in number of cycles under the given loading in appendix 2.

CAD data in IGES and Step format

Material propertis with quasi S-N curve (Wohlers kurven)
The cyclic loading curve ( for eg. Sine wave) to evalute the mean and amplitude stresses
Passing criteria

Outputs

executive report with contours and animation of deformations, strain, stress and Life of assembly

P.4

Material is assumed to be isentropic, i.e. material properties are same in all the directions
The Goodman theory is used to evaluate the fatigue life
The fatige correction factors to be taken from standard refernce if not avaliable
Analysis is carried out at room temperature i.e. 23 deg C
