When you're telling your friends that soon you're going to move
to Bucharest for a year they always make open-mouth face. It may
mean two things - they are confused in which country lies Buda...something, maybe Hungary?... or they see only gypsies before
their eyes. Then they asked "are you sure?". Of course you are!
Because after some time spend on looking for a internship in a foreign country, you're totally prepared for everything. After short
research you confirm suspicions that Bucharest lies in Romania,
one of European Union country. So it can't be that bad, right?
Indeed. The tons numbers of cultural events during the whole
year, great restaurants, comfortable connections to different directions makes Bucharest one of the european capitals. It's not
only traffic jams. How about working here? First of all you should
be sure that people here knows english very well. It's not a single
problem to talk with colleagues in english, especially because most
of the companies here are international corporations. What is
more Romanians are high skilled in speaking different languages
from italian, spanish, french to german, russian and dutch. Administration of emigration office is also not so scary, once you got
there, they took your picture and next day you are allowed to
work for 5 years in Romania. So, after my short words you see
that life here is easy. But it's also fun. Never-sleeping city centre
takes care for entertaining you. Plus, you still have fun from your
friends faces, after you put picture on facebook and everyone realizes that it's actually beautiful place, Bucharest.

My AIESEC experience. I would like to say it is

easy and nice, but I can't. If you decided to be an
intern or volunteer you need to prepare yourself
for a challenge. You need to be prepare for a difficult situations, such as new work environment,
problem with finding a flat, loneliness. But finally
there is no success without hard work. AIESEC
give a chance not only to improve your language
skills, or work experience, this is a chance to rise in
many other fields. So if you want so create your
own path to success, you should join the organisation asap!

Hello to everybody!
I came to Romania at the end of June 2014. Bucharest is a very beautiful and warm city. People here
are so polite. Almost everyone speaks English, so I
have no problem with communication. I tasted a lot
of unusual and tasty food here.
I have been to Piatra Mare Mountains and participated in the Bucharest international Marathon,
visited several museums.
I have got a really interesting work at international
company. My colleagues are friendly, responsive
and have a good sense of humor.
AIESECers do not let me get bored, invite me at
parties, help in difficult situations. Now I have a lot
of friends from all over the world. For sure my internship in Romania will change all my life

My AIESEC experience was nothing short of an adrenaline rush! Nothing can prepare you for what is about to
happen on a GIP or GCDP. Coming to a foreign country and
leaving your comfort zone is one of the most exhilarating feelings in the world. I believe it's important for young people to
challenge themselves with the task of just getting up and exploring. Through AIESEC you are able to accomplish that
and more - gain international work experience.
When I came to Bucharest Romania to pursue a 6 month
long GIP with a Romanian-based Digital Marketing company; I didn't expect to find my passion. By working and gaining greater experience in my field I realized just how passionate I am about my career choice.
Throughout my GIP stay individuals' from AIESEC Bucharest went above and beyond to help accommodate and
assist me with solving every challenge that may have arose
along the way. I'm proud to call those members from
AIESEC Bucharest who helped me relentlessly, my friends.
aThe most important lesson I learned from my GIP experience is that: It will challenge you, it will test your limits, it will
teach you to adapt, but most of all make you grow into a
stronger and better person - ultimately the person you were
always meant to be!

I'm in Romania since May. Aiesec organization gave

me great opportunity to work in large corporation, in the
international team. Staying here I am treating as one of
the step of continuous development and improvement.
I'm focused on gaining valuable experience and career
development. Staying abroad gives me chance to meet
new people from all over the world. The city is kind of
surprise for me, totally deviates from the titers of European capital. However, most weekends I try to spend outside of the Bucharest somewhere close to nature, trying to
mute myself and gather strength for another busy week.
I am so happy that Romanian mountains and sea side
is not so far from the capital. I always recommend to visit
mountain range because the views are breathtaking. I
plan to stay here for a few more months to learn more and
acquire knowledge. I am sure that the experience gained
here will result in the future because I already know that
I am a stronger person than before I came here.

At first I was hesitant when I thought about

coming to a strange and utterly unknown country
like Romania, but in the end I thought: Why not?.
I feel like that little question and the consequent decision were one of the best ones in my life. The most
important lesson I learned in Romania so far in this
six months is to expect the unexpected. In my experience as a trainee and newcomer, I have discovered that nothing quite goes as you expected here,
and there are always surprises in store (mostly
good!). Every day is an adventure filled with wonderful new people who I now call my friends, there
is always something interesting to do and see,
places to visit and adventures to live, even in the
most regular days. Everything is possible in Romania.

Via TRY project and in Bucharest, the city of joy, I

find culture shock the best memory in my life.
There are no chopstick, no bubble tea, no u-bike
and not even a Taiwanese face. Yet, every moment
is an adventure, excitement and inspiration, with
students laughing in class or vin fiert with friends.
Culture shock can be sweet, so why not?

I can honestly tell that I never felt like a foreigner in

Romania. After a few weeks after I moved to Romania I
forgot that I live in foreign country and I started to feel
like at home. Reason for this are probably Romanian
people who are very gracious and hospitable. Since I am
here I felt adopted by everyone, every step of the way. I
was surprised how a lot of people here have the ability to
understand another
anothe person without any problem.
Not only people surprised me, I was also surprised by
nature. Romania has beautiful gifts of nature and beautiful monuments. I advise all foreigners to visit at least
some of these breath-taking places.
I came to Romania in August 2013. I came because big
international company offered me opportunity to work
for them. They offered me internship for half a year.
When one year passed my wish was to extend a contract.
So I signed new contract for undetermined time. I hope
that I will stay here longer.

Since July I have been in Bucharest in order to complete

my internship at Michelin within Commercial Department. After four months I can admit it was a really good
decision. The internship resulted to be a big step in my
professional career helping me to acquire knowledge
from different areas mainly from Sales field.. During my
work I could participate in interesting trainings, language courses as well as count on my company s support
in all the things related to travel, accommodation and immigration formalities.
Thanks to AIESEC Bucharest I had opportunity to
attend many parties and meet interesting people from all
over the Europe.
Bucharest is a great city with international atmosphere ,
thriving with life, full of clubs , restaurants and cultural
events located very close to main Romanian attraction:
mountains, Black sea and awesome towns.
