Network IT Engineer
Administration of Windows server 2000, 2003, 2008r2 and then to 2012r2. Worked with a user base of
500. With a three campus building location. Biggest building being over 700,000 sq feet.
Installed and Configured Cisco Routers 2600, 2821 and Catalyst Switches 3550 and 3560 with
vlan configurations. Added IDF locations to expand the network for the new scanners that were being
deployed.
Installed and configured Cisco ASA firewalls 5505 and 5510, VPN and DMZ. This would allow our
users to access the File Server and ERP servers from home.
Worked with network team in day to day operation that includes change control permissions for
Universal, Global and Domain groups. Daily backups of servers, trouble shooting end users problems
such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe and Multifunctional printers. Received and prioritized network
trouble tickets that came in through help desk.
Planned and configured network infrastructure for new wireless access points for new scanner guns to
be used in supply chain. Install new IDF locations with Cisco Switches and fiber runs.
Managed and plan network upgrade from Nortel phone system to Cisco IP phone system. This move
saved the company 125,000.00 a year in cost. IT was able to move the phones anywhere in the network
without having to change the configuration on the Switches.
Managed the migrating of Exchange 2000, 2003 and then on to 2007.
Managed and design the fiber installation between all IDFs and MDFs in multiple building campus
WAN/LAN network.
Installation of Label Matrix software to run 4 x 6 labels on Zebra and Toshiba printers for production.
Improved Supply Chain scanning to run 5 times faster using tablet scanners instead of the all in ones
scanners. This saved the company 89,000.00 a year just in overtime.
