b. There are some examples of
dialogues on how to check in for a
flight,
how to hire a car, how to book a
hotel room.
c. Pay attention to the sentences in
bold.
Some of those sentences use the
phrase would like which is
usually shortened into d like.

Would like is,


actually the more formal & polite
way of saying want.
Both would like & want are
followed by to + verb 1.
Look at these examples:
a) Id like to hire a car for 3 days.
b) I want to hire a car for 3 days.
c) Id like to book a twin room for 2
nights.
d) I want to book a twin room for 2
nights.
