MeritScholarshipScheme(20142015)

stateBankofPakistanBankingServicesCorporation(SBPBSC)offersfinancialassistanceby
way of Merit Scholarship to the talented and meritorious children of its
serving/retired/deceased employees (OG2 and Below) pursuing their studies at
Intermediate, Graduate and Post Graduate levels. These Merit Scholarships for the year
20142015 are now open and Applications on the prescribed Form are invited from the
Employees(serving/retired)andspouse/childrenofdeceasedemployeesofSBPBSC(Bank)
forgrantofMeritScholarshipstotheirchildren.
SalientFeatures

1.EligibleEmployees:

The children of employees (serving/retired/deceased up to OG2 level only) of

SBPBSC(Bank)areeligiblefortheaboveScholarship.
2.Coursesandprescribedsubjects:(Admissiontakenduringtheacademicyear201415)

a)IntermediateCourse
IntermediateinScience,EconomicsandCommerce,DiplomaofAssociateEngineering
Course from any Polytechnic Institute, Computer Science and Information
Technologyfromareputedandrecognizedinstitution.
b)GraduationCourse
GraduationCourseinScience,Commerce,Business,Economics,TechnicalEducation,
Public Administration, Information Technology, Medicine & Engineering from a
reputedandrecognizedinstitution.
c)PostGraduationCourse
PostGraduationCourseinScience,Commerce,Business,Economics,Technical
Education,PublicAdministration,InformationTechnology,Medicine&Engineering
fromareputedandrecognizedinstitution.
3.PrescribedInstitutions:
ScholarshipsforGraduation/PostGraduationcourseswillbeawardedonlytothe
studentswhotakeadmissioneitherinapublicsectoreducationalinstitutionorinany
privatesectoreducationalinstitutionclassifiedincategoryWorXbytheHigher
EducationCommission,GovernmentofPakistanfromtimetotime.

4.Quota&AmountforScholarships:
StudyLevelQuotaAmount(Rs)
Intermediate:883000/pm
Graduation: 424500/pm
PostGraduation:Nolimit7500/pm
5.Eligibility:
Scholarships will be awarded to those children of employees
(serving/retired/deceased) up to OG2 level who have secured A + , A or B
grades or have obtained at least 60% marks in Matriculation / Intermediate /
Graduation Examination during the calendar year 2014 provided they are not in
receiptofscholarshipfromanyotherinstitutionortheGovernment.Candidateswho
have passed A and O level examinations under the Cambridge System are also
eligibleforthisScheme.
6.Admissibility/Withdrawal:
Thescholarshipwillbegrantedtothecandidatesinorderofmerit.
Thescholarshipwillbewithdrawnwherechildrenfailordonotappearin
theexamination.

Cadre or their spouse (in case of deceased employee) whose Children meet the above
mentioned eligibility criteriaof the Scholarship may applytotheconcernedoffice of State
BankofPakistan,SBPBankingServicesCorporation(Bank)foronwardsubmissiontoHead
OfficeKarachilatestbyApril30,2015.ApplicationFormsmaybeobtainedeitherfromSBP
