Kenyatta University offers a flexible mode of learning through various learner friendly modes of delivery designed to accommodate each
individual students unique circumstances. These modes include:

The entry requirements vary from programme to programme with basic entry requirements for undergraduate degree courses being:- a
minimum of C+ at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or equivalent. In addition, applicants must meet specific degree requirements
for each school.
The basic entry for postgraduate courses is:An Upper Second Class Honours, Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
Occasionally, limited opportunities arise for the admission of students to pursue parts of programmes within a discipline, or in more than one
discipline. This provision does not constitute a programme for the purposes of award of degrees of the University. Candidates admitted for
such programmes are known as Occasional students.
To qualify for admission under this category candidates must:
Satisfy the normal minimum entrance requirements, or offer alternative equivalent qualifications satisfactory to the Board of the School
concerned or produce evidence of being a student in another University.
The tenure of occasional studentship is normally up to a maximum of one academic year. It should be noted that students admitted under this
category are evaluated either by course-work or University examinations.

applicant must show evidence of research activity by publishing
research findings in refereed journals. Such candidates will
be admitted into the postgraduate programme after passing a
qualifying examination in the department.

examination. Applicants with a credit and at least three years
working experience in a relevant area with a clear evidence of
field experience or research ability may also be considered for
