PART 1:

I chose you before I gave you birth and before you were born I selected
you...Do not say that you are too young, but go to the people I send you...
(Jeremiah 1:5-7). God is the source and the very origin of vocation. He
takes the initiative first to call us and choose us even before we were born
in this world. Thus, this call must be responded in the ways as the Virgin
Mary does when God chose her to be the mother of Christ the Messiah.
Young as we are, we felt we are not worthy of this vocation of Priesthood,
to be the representative of Christ, to act on His behalf, and to be His image
to the faithful. Perhaps it is too great which our own capacity cannot
handle, but it is not our work alone. It is the work of the Holy Spirit. God
indeed is the one who will mold us, the clay; When God calls He sustains.
It is about humbly giving oneself to His providential care, to entrust and
offer ourselves and letting God be the master of our lives. Therefore the call
of Priesthood for man is impossible.

Power of Your Love

The modern society provides men such friendly reassurance, but the
problem in our society today is for men to be real men. Our modern world
needs men to stand for change. Men who would combat against the
pressures of society were greed and materialism is nothing but a common
entity.

Over thousands of young men in our local Church, only 25 of them are
worthy to be called real men. Men who sacrificed their happiness, and
preferred to leave their loved ones behind to respond to the call of Christ.
Young men who came from different places, families, culture, and walks of
life. The Lord came and revealed His presence, calling out as before.
Samuel! Samuel! Samuel answered, Speak God for your servant is
listening. (1Sam.1:10).
Discerning to answer the call to Priesthood and deciding to enter the
seminary is definitely a difficult predicament. Perhaps there are many
things that hinders this 25 young men in making a decision to the enter the
seminary. Financial problems, parents opposing their childs decision, and
being away with their peers are some, if not, most of the reasons why there
is such hesitancy to live a religious life. But none of these barriers have had
halted the call of God because none can hinder His plan for His chosen
ones.

Dance Intermission ( c/o MarJun)

The first time we stepped in the grounds of the seminary was overwhelming. The place appeared to be very holy, strange, and quiet which
made it even more difficult for us to be bear. It made our hearts pound
easily. Everything was new to us, the environment, the community, and the
lifestyle. Living in the seminary is a challenge. We encountered ups and
downs especially during our formation years. There were instances where
we felt bored, sad and lonely because we miss the people close to our
hearts, especially our families. What made it almost impossible to handle is
battling the feeling of having to Love someone at the wrong time. But in
spite all the trials, we were able to overcome all this tribulations by the help
and enlightenment of Gods Holy Spirit.

Our journey to priesthood is yet to become a reality. There will be more

trials and hardships as we go along the way. But because we believe that
God will pour out more blessings to sustain us, we will end up
triumphant .As God said bloom where you are planted.
