A
Scope
This procedure covers the detail of Full Water testing and documentations of AV-1900 TANK
CONTRUCTION to meet with requirement and Client Spec. Full Water Test will be conducted at
workshop PT. Multifab.

Preparation

All required radiographic and other NDE test should have been completed by designated
Quality Control Inspector, Client Inspector in accordance with the specification standard.
2.3
The inside and outside of the Vessel shall be cleaned. All foreign matters such as slag,
dirt, loose scale, weld spatter, pieces of metal, oil etc. shall be removed.
2.4
The weld of each reinforcing pad shall be given air and soap solution test at minimum
50 Psi on the present of Purchaser's Inspector before testing the Drum.
Test hole shall be sealed after painting.

All tests shall be in accordance with customer's spec or applicable code applied. The drum shall
be full water at Horizontal position. Temporary Internal Support shall be used to avoid damage
on shell during full water test.
4.
All openings, flange nozzles and couplings shall be blinded off using appropriate blind to prevent
failure during the test.
5.
Temperature gauge shall be installed into the vessel during full water testing for recording the
temperature of water.
Test water and metal temperature during full water test be maintained at least 30 F (17 C)
above the minimum design metal temperature, but need not exceed 120 F ( 67C ).

A venting system shall be installed at the highest point of the vessel and be opened to permit the
release air during water filling.

Before filling water, the test equipment shall be examined to see that it is tight and all lower
pressure filling lines and other appurtenances that should not be subjected to the test pressure
have been disconnected.

Full water test shall be carried out in accordance with following procedures
8.1
The drum shall stand full of water for a minimum period of 2 hours.
8.2
During water filling, check the elevations of at least eight equidistant points at the drum
shell.

All the drum nozzles shall be sealed off to atmosphere with the exception of one nozzle
in the highest point. This nozzle shall remain open during water fill operation.
8.5
During the fill the drum should be regularly inspected each welding area and material.
8.6
Release the water from the drum when a satisfactory test has been completed. Holding
time of the drum depend agreement between Client Inspector.
8.7
The rate of emptying of tank should not exceed one foot per hour drop in level. One
nozzle shall remain open during this operation. Ensure that nozzles opening (at Highest
Point) on the drum already opened before release the water for air circulation and avoid
deformation on the shell drum.

Documentation
*
The test record prepared by Multifab (MF) shall be signed by Client after completion by
Full Water test.
The document, stated above shall become part of the Manufacturer Data Report (MDR).
