Setting

up Your WordPress Account

1. Go to www.wordpress.com

2. Scroll down the page and click on Create Blog

3. On the drop down menu, select category of education:

4. Choose a theme: Make sure its freethat is, dont pay for anything.

5. Find a domain: This will be the title of your blog. Choose something that
short and that you can remember. Choose the free option here

6. Pick a plan: Choose the free Option:

7. Create Your Account:

8. Verify Your Account by checking your email address:




9. This is the dashboard: the left menu allow you to add pages and posts.

10. Next, were going to create a new page, and well upload your assignments
from English 69:

On the left menu, click on pages add

Entitle the page: English 69 Homework Assignments
Click on Add Media
Click on Select Files
Find the file from your flash drive
Click on Insert into Post in the lower right corner
Click on Save Draft.

Add the following files to this page:

1. Homework from 9/9: 2 paragraphs, one where you discuss one of your
goals and the other where you reflect on your experience using
computers,
Title this the following: HW from 9/9: Goals

2. Homework from 9/16: Word processing assignment with Brandon
Bruchards Learn Faster
Title this the following: HW from 9/23: Learn Faster

3. Homework from 9/23: Website Evaluation Reflection paragraph
Title this the following: HW from 9/23: Website Evaluation Reflection

4. Homework from 9/30: Summary and evaluation of either Freire or
Krishnamurti article

Title this the following: HW from 9/30: Summary/Evaluation

5. Homework from 10/14: Picture of Personal Learning Environment
(PLE)
Title this the following: HW from 10/14: PLE

6. Homework from 10/21: Reflection paragraph on internet research
Title this the following: HW/21: Reflection on Internet Research

11. Add Prof. Weigand as an editor to your site: click on add next to people.

Add: weigansm@lavc.edu
Change role from follower to editor
Click on send invitiation
