Explanations
The question talks
about the
circulatory and
digestive systems
working together.
(4)
The question refers
to the
malfunctioning and
the other being
affected by that.
That is an example
of living systems
responding to one
another. (3)

The question talks

about
reproduction.
Through
reproduction,
evolution occurs.
(1) The organism
that is reproducing
is using energy and
molecular building
blocks to create a
new organism. (2)
The question talks
of corn evolving
over time, which is
part of #1. In order
to evolve, the corn
needed to use
molecular building
blocks and energy.
This is #2.
The question talks
about water

requires the water,

it opens the holes
in it. (3)
The question is
about mutations,
which is the
bringer of evolution
(1.) The individual
body systems
interact to help
create a human
baby, thus #4.
In humans,
different systems
interact in order to
produce proteins
(4.) These systems
use energy and
building blocks to
make the proteins
necessary for the
organisms
survival. (2)
The question talks
about evolution
and different
offspring. Thus,
diversity. (1)
Organisms also
require energy and
building blocks in
order to create new
ones. (2)
The question talks
about fossils that
are found from a
different time
period. These
species had
evolved into new
ones and became
extinct. (1) In order
for the organisms
to reproduce, they

needed multiple
biological systems
to work together.

Task 2
Caleb Weinman
a) The experimental question being asked is: What are the responses of fish to
different temperatures? I hypothesize that most of the fish will flock towards
section D. The independent variable is the temperature of the water. 3
controlled variables are: The amount of time the fish spent in the water, the
size of the tank, and the amount of fish used. The dependent variable is
where the fish flocked to in the tank.

b) The outcome was that most fish went to section C.

c) The conclusion to the experiment is that most fish enjoyed the 34 degree
section of the tank. This was not all of them though. Therefore, some fish
were beginning to evolve and enjoyed a different temperature. This showed
that through a bit of evolution, diversity can appear. It also showed that some
fish were responding to their biological systems interact. This caused the fish
to go different places. My hypothesis was incorrect, as the fish did not flock to
section D, as most travelled to C instead. This may be because this was the
original temperature at which the fish were kept before the experiment.
