Colonial Chemical has pioneered the introduction of a new series of
surfactants based on renewable, sustainable raw materials. The Colonial
Suga®Nate series are sulfonated surfactants based on naturally derived alkyl
polyglucoside nonionics.
Suga®Nate surfactants combine the advantages of high foaming, good
emulsification and excellent lime soap dispersion to give the formulator
maximum flexibility in the preparation of light and heavy-duty cleaners. The
Suga®Nate products are also mild to skin, making them useful in hand soaps,
dish wash products and anywhere worker exposure is a concern.
Suga®Nate surfactants are also useful over a broad pH range making them
suitable for low pH, acid formulations and also for high pH, high alkaline
formulations. The stability of Suga®Nate surfactants at any pH will make
them desirable in many formulations for industrial, institutional and household
applications.
The wetting properties of Suga®Nate surfactants are excellent as well. Their
ability to lower surface tension of commonly used builders will also make the
formulation job easier.
With our industry looking for “green” ingredients for the next generation of
eco-friendly cleaners, Suga®Nate surfactants offer the formulator excellent
alternatives to traditionally used surfactant products.
Suga®Nate surfactants are easily soluble in water, easy to handle, and are
good foamers. They are compatible with most other surfactant products.
Most importantly, Suga®Nate surfactants are readily biodegradable and are
safe for humans and safe for the environment.

Mix all ingredients, check pH and adjust to 5.5 -6.5 with NaOH as needed.
