Welcome to the Suffolk Public Interest Law Auction!

Thank you for attending the Suffolk Public Interest Law Group (SPILG)
auction. This auction provides compensation in the form of fellowships to over
sixty students who have shown outstanding dedication to public service.
Students use these fellowships to spend the summer working at non-profit public
interest institutions and government agencies that desperately need interns but
cannot otherwise afford to pay them. SPILG Fellows have worked in cities all
over the United States from San Diego to Providence, but also here in Boston.
They have secured internships in various positions, including with District
Attorneys, Public Defenders, Attorney Generals, Greater Boston Legal Services,
and many more!
The auction is a three-day event starting with the silent auction, Tuesday,
February 23, 2016 through Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 9:00 am to 6:00
pm each day. The live auction begins at 6:00 pm in the first floor Function Room
of Sargent Hall on Thursday, February 25, 2016.

SILENT AUCTION POLICY

1. The auction begins at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 and will
close at promptly 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2016. An auction
coordinator will announce time at the close of the Silent Auction.
2. Please list your name, phone number or email, and bid amount on the
provided bidding sheet.
3. Bids must be made in the increments that are noted on the bid sheets for
each item. A bid that is not made in accordance with these increments
will be disregarded.
4. All bids are binding. The highest bidder listed with COMPLETE and
LEGIBLE information by the call of time will be deemed the winner.
5. Bids will not be accepted after the close of the Silent Auction has been
announced.
6. After the closing of bidding on Thursday, the bidding sheets will be
collected. Winners will be listed on sheet of paper posted outside of the
elevators. Please give us an hour to record this information and print it on
a poster. If you won an item, please come to the checkout table to collect
your item. If you are not present, we will email you.
7. The winner may claim their item by presenting the full bid amount at the
checkout table. We accept credit cards, cash, and checks made out to,
Suffolk University Law School Public Interest Group or Suffolk
University Law School SPILG.
8. All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
9. Items have been donated to SPILG and are being auctioned by SPILG,
not the donor. Therefore, if there is a problem with the items please
contact SPILG at spilgauction@gmail.com, not the donor.
10. SPILG assumes no responsibility for the validity of the description, the
authenticity, or the condition of any item offered for auction. The warranty
or guarantee for any item does not go beyond the description provided to

LIVE AUCTION POLICY

1. The auction doors open at 6:00 PM and bidding beings promptly at 7:00
PM Thursday, February 25, 2016 and will continue until all items are sold.
2. To bid for an item, you must register for a paddle at the paddle registration
table located directly outside the large function room. You become
responsible for any paddle that you register and are responsible for any
bids made with it. Do not leave your paddle unattended at any time.
3. To bid on any items, raise the paddle above your head. The auctioneer
