Mission
The Senior Project Scheduler role, reporting to the Program Manager, is accountable for
providing specialist planning and scheduling knowledge and expertise to the team
including the management and reporting of the program and project schedules.

This position contributes to Telstras growing Managed Services business and Global
expansion by delivering customer outcomes. A key element to achieving the delivery of
customer outcomes is delivering and growing profitable revenue to Telstra by identifying
and minimising Project Risk, Issues and Dependencies.

Key Accountabilities
Team Leadership
Manage and lead a dedicated team of Project delivery professionals, engaging with a leveraged resource
model for delivery resource planning and tasking;
Build and maintain high performing Programs and Project teams delivering effective and repeatable
services and solutions contributing to GE&S strategic objectives;
Positively manage change within the team, in line with Project Services Business Unit Objectives,
supported by its Goals, Values, Strategic Pillars, Key Priorities, and Culture;
Maintain Delivery team quality standards through recommending effective training and mentoring of
Delivery team members; and
Assisting Project Services/Specialist Team Leaders to support and manage their staff through honest and
effective career management and counselling.
Consistently demonstrate the courage to make decisions that enables our business to move forward based
upon the best available information and be flexible enough to re-appraise these decisions as the
circumstances change.
Program Standards
Establish and/or maintain a best practice Schedule Management Plan to support the establishment,
management and reporting of the program and project schedules
Reporting
Produce schedule status reporting as per the agreed PMO and program/project standard and timescales
Provide content for Executive Steering Committee Reports in-line with the agreed program standard and
timescales
Schedule & Dependency Management
Ensure the tactical and strategic management of schedules is in line with PS PMO best practice standard
documented in the PS Schedule Management Plan
Undertake Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Time Management and Scheduling Processes
Contribute to the lessons learnt and continual business improvement of the PS
Manage Risks & Issues as appropriate to the role
Quantitative assessment of the impact of all risks and issues on the schedule as per the Risk &
Issue Management Plan Escalation of issues impacting the schedule outside of agreed
program tolerances
Management of all program and project baselines and schedule related change requests
Ensure schedule Project Management folder structure is in place for all streams and projects on
SharePoint
Meeting Governance
Production of program/project reporting within the agreed timeframes therefore meeting SLAs.

Consistently apply Global Enterprise and Services, best practice methodologies, policies and procedures

Engage with Program team members, other Telstra employees and client representatives as required in
order to meet the requirements of the project plan
