Dear Ms, Lay:
As required by the provisions of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, 29
US.C. §2101 et seq. ("WARN"), the General Electric Company hereby advises you that it will
begin layoffs at its facility located at 2901 East Lake Road, Erie, PA 16531.
Approximately 1,500 employees will be permanently laid off over a several month period,
beginning on or about January 6, 2016. In addition, we anticipate some temporary layoffs
between November 2015 and March 2016. If those layoffs become permanent, we will
provide additional notice if required. Additionally, if any employees are permanently laid off
before Jonuary 6, 2016, they will receive poy and benefits commensurate with the
requirements of WARN.
Impacted employees who are represented by a union are represented by the United
Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America, Local 506. The name and address of the
