Problems identified
The greatest issue here is regarding reading comprehension, especially
matching exercises and synonyms.
Spelling is also an issue, but I mostly relate it to lack of attention, as the
students tend to misspell words that are already given in the input.
Measures for improvement:
Attention span practice. More reading comprehension exercises and
spelling practice.

Problems identified
On the whole, the class displays a good comprehension of the reading
text. The majority of students matched the reading paragraphs correctly.
They show some degree of difficulty in word formation, especially in
words which alter their form after derivation.
The greatest problems appear to be in re-phrasing exercises, which
demand of them a firm command of grammatical structures and ability
to employ a variety of tenses.
In writing, students need to pay more attention to the layout of their
work, sequence of tenses and spelling.
Another problem- area is vocabulary, which is quite limited.
Necessary measures for improvement:
Grammar structures can be consolidated with practice in essential
structures: tenses, passive voice, gerund and infinitive, comparison of
adjectives.
Students need more practice with re-phrasing exercises so they are
more familiar with the manner of solving them.
The students limited vocabulary can be improved with extensive
reading practice, both on short texts, newspaper and magazine articles
as well as on long, literary texts.
