THINKING GLOBALLY
ACTING IN PARTNERSHIP!
This mission statement as the foundation of our
corporate philosophy enables us to face the
challanges of the global market in the future.
The requirement of our customers of energy
and cost efficiency of their facilities led to the
decision, to develop an innovative energy saving
classifying and grinding system.

At the end of the process stood the development

of the first industrial prototype with so far
unreached performance. The unique low
specific energy consumption secures, besides
other advantages, the economical success of
our partners also in future!

FuNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE
The material is ideally dispersed in a multistage
dispersing disk system and distributed evenly in
the air stream at the separation zone, around the
rotor.
In the classifying zone the material is affected by
centrifugal-, drag- and flow forces. Depending

on cage rotor speed, air quantity and air guide

vane positioning, the material is separated into
fine and coarse material.
The fine material is separated from the air in
a cyclone or filter. The coarse material is discharged into a coarse material collection cone.

COOLING AND DRYING PROCESS

Cooling

Drying

Especially in the cement production sector it is

essential to ensure an effective upper temperature limit to prevent negative impacts as a result
of excessively high temperatures. CMP realizes
this by means of a fresh air system with a control concept which is especially adapted to the
process. Investment costs for cement coolers
can be saved by this fresh air flap system.

It is possible to dry products during the classifying process with this system. Therefore,
the classifier is charged with hot gas instead of
fresh air. For economic reasons and in terms of
reducing CO2 emissions, it is appropriate to use
existing warm exhaust air, for example from the
preheater.

In order to guarantee high service life, all parts of the CEMAG Classifier which are exposed to wear are of
wear-resistant materials as standard design. The housing parts are lined with mineral stone compound,
cast basalt or mineral mortar.
The number and size of installed inspection doors and flaps guarantee an easy maintenance and
inspection of the classifier inside.

2nd generation
Cyclone Recirculating Air-Classifier

Since the market launch of the first classifiers at

the end of the 19th century, additional classifier
generations have been developed pushed
forward by the world-wide demand for more
efficient classifying solutions and high-quality
products.
The fan and fine material separation of the
Cyclone Recirculating Air-Classifier of the 2nd
generation (since approx. 1960) have been
installed outside, which led to an improved
regulation of the product fineness.
The CEMAG Cross Flow-Classifier belongs to
the 3rd generation and works with a cage system
instead of the traditional counter-wings. The cage
is streamed according to the cross-flow-principle
and thus achieves again a remarkably increased
efficiency.
