Seasonal Merchandise Intern

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Double-A Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) are currently accepting resumes for a Seasonal
Merchandise Intern. This program will begin in February 2016 and extends through September 18, 2016.
The Seasonal Merchandise Intern will work directly with the Business Manager and Merchandise Coordinator to coordinate and
organize many aspects of team merchandise. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Helps to update and maintain the Merchandise section of the Naturals website.
Processes and organizes web and phone merchandise orders.
Keeps up to date on current trends in merchandise and assists in making merchandise orders accordingly.
Strives to make Naturals Team Store a vital part of the ballpark experience and helps to regularly update the look of the store,
in order to entice customers.
When needed, organizes and records financials of the Team Store and its inventory.
Is responsible for assisting with all business-related aspects of End-Of-Month merchandise recording; including, but not limited
to keeping track of: Cash Receipts, Deposits, Inventory, Souvenir Transfers, and Purchase Orders.
Assists in departmental problem solving, project planning, and the development and execution of departmental goals and
objectives.
Performs routine analyses and calculations in the processing of data for recurring internal reports.
Updates and organizes the Game Day Staff handbook; will implement and follow through with all procedures listed in this book
during the season
Prepares game day staff scheduling
Responsible for distribution and record-keeping of staff uniforms
Prepares and submits game day staff payroll
Creates & records comment card data
Organizes and records financials of game day activities such as parking & kid zone areas
Performing administration tasks

Requirements:

Must be willing to work long hours and weekends (all home Naturals games and TBD special events)

Must be willing to cooperate and work well with all other areas of our organization.

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must be willing to complete the internship through its entirety.

Must have knowledge of baseball.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Organized, punctual and professional.

Experience in merchandise or retail sales is a plus.


This is a paid hourly internship. Hours will rotate throughout the season to enhance the experience but will include nights, weekends
and occasional holidays. Assistants will work 30-40 hours per week on average.
