320 Holy Hours were kept with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration last
week. "A thousand years of enjoying human glory is not worth even an
hour spent communing with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament." (Saint

NEW MEMBER LUNCHEON: If you have joined St. Augustine during the
last twelve months, you are cordially invited to come over to the school
cafeteria after the 10:30 Mass today for food and fellowship. This will be
Childrens Choir. Performances will begin at 6:15pm in the Church Chili, hot
chocolate and cookies will be served on the rectory lawn throughout the evening. In
order to make this event run smoothly, we are in need of volunteers to help spread
the Christmas Cheer. This is a wonderful opportunity for eighth grade students to
earn service hours while having fun at the same time. Anyone interested in helping
out, please call Bernadette at the rectory 330-745-0011.
Attention Bakers.Start your ovens! With the Christmas Walk just
around the cornerand the many wonderful bakers we have in our
parish.we are looking for a dozen or two of your favorite Christmas
Cookies to pass out at the Christmas Walk. Last year we were blessed
with a large assortment of baked goods and are hoping for the same this
year. Please call the rectory at 330-745-0011 if you are able to bake again for us!

It is hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner. HOLY LAND
GIFTS will be at St. Augustine Church next weekend of November 14 & 15.
There will be a display (in the school) of hand-carved items such as Nativity
scenes, crucifixes, rosaries, the Last Supper and much more. Mark your calendars, all
items are available for purchase and make wonderful gifts for loved ones. Start your
shopping early this year!

The next round of Euchre will be Friday, December 4 beginning at 6:30pm in
the school cafeteria.

The American Red Cross will be at St. Augustine School in the SAC
on Sunday, December 6 from 9:00am 1:00pm. Please consider
giving blood, together we can make a difference. A fun fact:
People with type O blood are often called universal donors since
their blood can be transfused to patients with other blood types such as A, B and
AB. Patients with type O blood must receive type O.
St. Augustine will once again have an Advent Communal Reconciliation Service on Monday,
December 14 at 7:00pm in the church. Numerous priests will be available and you may receive
the sacrament either face-to-face or with a screen in a confessional. All are encouraged to take
part in this special sacrament, please plan accordingly.

live music by Marshall Law, dinner, drinks and most importantly
fellowship. The evening will begin at 8:00pm with dinner, music
and dancing will follow into the New Year. Space is limited, only
200 tickets will be sold at $65.00 a couple or $40.00 per individual. Make sure to get
your tickets early by calling Elmer Neitz at 330-388-1980 or Bernadette Paridon at
330-745-0011. Participants must be 21, there will be a cash bar.

envelope for Christmas Flowers. Donations to the Flower Fund help to defray
costs of flowers and decorations in our church during the upcoming holiday season.
Monies received also aid the Parish Sacristan in keeping the sanctuary supplied with
all the necessary items throughout the year. For those using Faith Direct, if you
have made a contribution, please drop an envelope in the offertory basket with the
name of your intention. If you donate through Faith Direct, please drop the name of
the intended into the offertory basket or contact the rectory at 330-745-0011.
St. Augustine Life Teen youth group meets every Sunday from
6:15-8:00pm. in St. Augustine School room #101. All teens in
high school are invited to join us. This semester we will be focusing on the Person
of Christ.
The Edge youth group for middle school students (grades 6-8) meets
every Wednesday from 7:00-8:30pm. in St. Augustine School room
#101. Come join us for an awesome time! This semester our theme is prayer, so
come and learn more while having fun doing it! Friends are always welcome.

Barberton Area Community Ministries item for the Month of November is Vegetables; corn, peas,
carrots or green bean All donations can be placed in the bench in front of the giving tree in the
vestibule of the church. Donations are picked up on Monday mornings. Thank you again for all your
support in helping us serve our brothers and sisters in need.
Community Activities
Sts. Peter & Paul Holy Name Society of Doylestown annual 66th Fall Stag Fish
Fry is November 13th. All you can eat! We will be serving delicious lake
perch, savory sausage and beer, plenty of friendly games of chance and
quality door prizes. Cost is $25.00 per person, you must be 21 or older. For

Sacred Heart of Jesus Mens Prayer Group presents the 4th Annual Men & Boys Conference
Manning-up: Become a Disciple of Jesus and Engage in the Spiritual Battle, presented by
Peter Herbeck: Saturday, November 14 beginning at 8:00am. Space is limited, registration
forms can be found on the bulletin board in the vestibule of the church.
Belles of Ireland Christmas Faire, Sunday, November 22, 2015, 2000 Brown
Street, Akron from 11am-4:00pm, sponsored by the Ladies Ancient Order of
Hibernians, Margaret Judge Division. This is a great opportunity to start
your Christmas shopping with Irish and Christmas handcrafted and imported gifts
from a variety of vendors. Enjoy delicious food, baked goods and beverages at Caf

having an Evening of Reflection on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 7:00 pm at St.
Sebastian Parish, 476 Mull Ave, Akron, Ohio 44313. Music will be provided by Peace
Together Choir. Please take the time for some reflection for the Christmas season.

ST. ANDREW WINTER WONDERLAND CRAFT SHOW: Join St. Andrew the Apostle Altar Guild
for their 16th Annual Winter Wonderland Craft Show The show is Saturday December 5, 10:00 to 3:00 in
the handicapped accessible Parish Center. There will be a variety of vendors, crafters and baked goods
available for purchase. The Altar Guild will also be selling items donated by individuals.
Loyola Retreat House (700 Killinger Road, Clinton) will sponsor a Grief Support Retreat,
December 9 & 10. The two evening retreat will be directed by Deacon Robin Adair and will
include dinner each day. Please arrive at 5:30 pm, dinner will be served at 6:00pm. To register

RETROUVAILLE WEEKEND January 15-17, 2016 - Someone once said marriages may
be made in heaven, but they sure take a lot of work on earth. Have you become so distracted by outside
pressure that you neglect your spouse? The Retrouvaille program can help you put your troubled
marriage back on track. This program is supported by the Catholic diocese of Cleveland. The next
Cleveland Retrouvaille weekend will be held on January 15-17, 2016. A registration fee of $150 is

The Ozanam Center, run by the St. Vincent DePaul Society, is in need of coats to
distribute to the needy. If you, or someone you know, has a coat or two that they
would like to donate, please bring them to the Center at 93 Kent St., Akron any
Saturday (except Thanksgiving weekend) between 10-2. We are in desperate need
of mens and childrens coats. If you have more than one, we would be happy to
help you bring them in. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Help the Needy: Donate Used Vehicles to the Society of St. Vincent de
Paul -Did you know that your used car can become food medicine and rent
for someone in need? Instead of undergoing the expense of car repairs
and insurance, as well as the hassle of selling it or negotiating trade-ins
with automotive dealerships, let us take it off our hands for a worthy cause.

The Soup Kitchen is in need of volunteers! Sponsored by the Barberton Coalition of Concerned Christians, of
which St. Augustine is a participant, meals are provided twice weekly to the needy of our community. Willing hearts
and hands are needed on Tuesdays from 2:00-6:00 pm approximately once every eight weeks. The meals are
