RESUMEN
Abstract
The geophysical test is the most widely used
spectral analysis of surface waves, which
involves sending seismic waves to the ground
and measure their arrival at several points.
The waves can be generated by a blow from a
heavy object or by detonating small
explosives, thanks to this test can obtain
preliminary information on the thickness of
the layers, depth and location of the rocks.
Their analysis is based on the speed of
propagation of the waves depend on the
physical properties of the soil or rock such as:
density, elastic modulus, porosity and
discontinuities. The assay utilizes these
differences to discern the soil profile. This
technique is non-destructive, it can also be
mentioned that this paper contains a
description of the technique and its
application to the evaluation of methods of
soil improvement.
