1. Begin by disconnecting emergency brake cable from the arm at the backing plate.
Disconnect brake hard line from the wheel cylinder. Remove the four nuts retaining the
axle / backing plate. Slide each axle / backing plate assembly out of the rear end
housing.
Reassembly:
9. Drop the rotor spacer onto the axle as shown in the 6 photos above. Then the rotor
sits on the spacer; verify that there is no debris in between any of these components.
Drop in the supplied wheel studs. Supporting the axle flange, press the studs through
the assembly.
11. Install bearing into bearing cup and slide onto axle. Then press seal ring into place.
Finish by reinstalling snap ring as shown above
12. The axles can now be slid into the axle housing as
shown above. The axle retainer brackets can be installed 8 different ways depending on
where you want your brake caliper to end up. Most commonly the caliper will install on
the rear of the axle with the bleed screw pointing up. Remember if the bleed screw is
NOT pointing up you will not be able to correctly bleed your brakes. Install the axle
retainer brackets over the axle retaining studs using original hardware.
14. Now install the brake caliper with pads using the
supplied M12-1.25x35mm bolts and lockwashers. Reform your original brake hard line
and connect to the caliper.
15. Dont forget to bleed your brakes!!
