As requested by the insured, the insurance cover is effective immediately. Due to the short term nature of
this insurance, the insured and purchaser of this policy knowingly waive their right to oppose its terms and
conditions.

The Insured is not covered under this policy for any trip in, to or through the following countries:
Afghanistan, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Soudan, Crimea.

This Certificate does not substitute the prospective Insurance Policy.

Please make sure you read these instruction carefully and remember that at all times, you should make
every possible effort to contact the Insurance Company BEFORE you incur any expenses.
Medical and other emergencies

24 hours/day, 365 days per year immediate response/assistance worldwide via designated telephone
numbers for all insured persons. AIG Travel local staff will assist with all requirements regarding cover
provided under this policy i.e. General Information, Technical, Medical, Medical Assistance and Medical
Transport.
AIG Travel will guarantee and where required, pay such amounts to Hospitals, Doctors, Transport
Companies, Medical Institutions on behalf of the Insured.

Please note: If you go into hospital and you are likely to be kept as an inpatient for more than 24 hours or if
your outpatient treatment is likely to cost more than 500, someone must contact the assistance

department for you immediately. If they do not, we may provide no cover or we may reduce the amount we
pay for medical expenses.
If you have to return to your country of residence, the assistance department must authorize this.
Please note: All claims must be notified as soon as it is reasonably practical after the event which causes the
claim and in any event within eight days starting from the date that you became aware of the occurrence of
the risk. If our position is prejudiced by the late notification of a claim then this may affect our acceptance of
a claim.
Please note: All certificates and supporting documents must be issued by official authorities and officially
translated into either Greek and/or English languages
To help us prevent fraudulent claims, we store your personal details on computer and we may transfer them
to a centralized system. We keep this information in line with the conditions of the Data Protection Act.
Fraud
This contract of insurance is based on mutual trust. We provide cover and we assume that any claims you
make are genuine. Our experience in handling claims enables us to detect many of those which are
fraudulent and this includes those which are exaggerated. We investigate every claim and if we believe that
a fraudulent claim is being made we may initiate legal proceedings in accordance with the current legislation
which could result in criminal prosecution.

DESCRIPTION OF COVERAGE

1. ACCIDENTAL DEATH
If the Insured suffers loss of life due to accident, within 180 days from the date of the accident, the Company
will pay to the Legal Beneficiaries the insured amount.
2. PERMANENT TOTAL/PARTIAL DISABILITY DUE TO ACCIDENT
If the Insured suffers any of the losses listed below, within 180 days from the date of the accident, due to which
loss/es he will be totally and permanently disabled, and provided such disability has continued for a period of 12
consecutive months from the date of the accident, the Company will pay the total or a percentage of the
insured principal amount.

3/4. MEDICAL EXPENSES DUE TO ACCIDENT IN/OUT OF HOSPITAL & MEDICAL EXPENSES
DUE TO SUDDENT SICKNESS IN HOSPITAL

The Company will reimburse the costs incurred due to accident or sudden sickness, in and/or out of hospital,
based on relevant original invoices, up to the insured amount. Contracted while the policy is in effect, i.e. during
an insured trip, and which requires medical treatment. No compensation can be paid in either the place of
permanent residence. We will pay expenses incurred during an insured trip, in the country of destination, as
authorized and approved by AIG Travels medical team, either in that country or in the nearest suitable facility.
5. EMERGENCY DENTAL SICKNESS
The Company will pay the costs, up to a sum not exceeding the insured amount, if the Insured requires
emergency dental care or therapy, as a result of sudden and intense pain developing in one or more of his/her
natural teeth without warning and during the trip, provided that said dental care shall commence within 24
hours from the time and day on which said sudden and intense pain first appeared. Sudden sickness is not
considered to be the ill-health of natural teeth e.g. dental fracture caused by caries.
This coverage is limited to the therapy of whole and natural teeth.
6. EMERGENCY EVACUATION
The Company will pay the costs, up to the insured amount, should it be necessary to effect emergency
evacuation due to severe injury or sickness which occurs for the first time during the trip. The Company will
cover immediate transportation to the nearest Hospital or Nursing home, Hospitalization and Medical services
and supplies including all relevant costs necessary for Medical Evacuation and transportation costs to place of
residence.
7. REPATRIATION OF REMAINS
In case of death of the Insured due to Accident or Sickness which occurs for the first time during the trip, the
Company will pay the actual amounts required for the repatriation of remains to the Insureds country of
residence, up to the insured amount. Funeral & coffin expenses are included.
8. EMERGENCY FAMILY TRAVEL
LIMIT FOR HOTEL ACCOMMODATION FOR CONVALESCENCE UP TO, PER DAY 235,00
In case of the insured being hospitalized for more than 5 days, the Company will pay the cost of a round trip,
economy class air fare to bring a person chosen by the insured to be at his bedside, as well as hotel
accommodation for the insureds convalescence, up to the insured amount.
9. LUGGAGE DELAY
The Company will reimburse an Insured person for the expense of necessary personal effects, up to the insured
amount, if such a persons Baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than 4 hours, from
the time the Insured arrives at the destination stated on the Insured Persons ticket, other than such a persons
final destination (permanent place of residence), until the time it arrives.
10. TOTAL LUGGAGE LOSS
The Company will reimburse the Insured, in case of total loss of luggage, which occurred during his trip on a
Common Carrier up to the amount per piece of luggage and the maximum amount per person as specified.
Total Loss of Luggage denotes the arrival of luggage 5 or more days after the arrival of the Insured at his/her
destination. It also denoted the arrival of luggage 22 or more days after the Insureds return to his/her
permanent residence.

11. THEFT AND LOSS OF DOCUMENTS


The Company will reimburse an Insured person for the necessary and usual expenses of Travel Documents
replacement (Passport, Identity Card etc) that the insured needs to pay in case of loss or theft, up to the insured
amount.
12. PERSONAL LIABILITY
The Insured person is covered for damages (Bodily Injury/Death and/or Property Damage), that the Insured may
cause to third parties, and for which such a person can be held legally liable, up to the insured amount.
13. LEGAL FEES
The Company will pay Legal fees incurred during the course of a journey, as a result of false arrest or wrongful
detention by any Government or Foreign Power, up to the above amount.
