1April2016.

All2.5yearsparttimelocaldiplomaholdersareonlyallowedtoapplyforadmissionaftercompletionoftheirlocal
diploma.TheymustcompletethethreeB.TechBridgingUnits(BBUs)togetherandarerequiredtositforMathematics,
PhysicalPrinciplesinEngineeringandoneofthedisciplinesexaminationsdependingontheB.Techcourseapplied.
ApplicantsapplyingtoB.TechIndustrial&ManagementEngineeringmaychooseanyofthedisciplinesoffered.

AllotherapplicantsmayberequiredtositforMathematicsand/orrespectivedisciplineentranceexaminations(formerly
knownasadmissiontests)basedontheB.Techcourseapplied.Example:AnapplicantapplyingadmissiontotheB.Tech
degreeinElectronicsEngineeringmayberequiredtositforMathematicsand/orElectronicsentranceexamination(s).
However,applicantsapplyingadmissiontotheB.TechdegreeinIndustrial&ManagementEngineeringmayberequired
tositforMathematicsentranceexaminationonlyasthereisnodisciplineentranceexamination.

Therewillbeafeeof$25foreachentranceexamination.However,thisfeeisincludedinthefeeforapplicantswhoare
requiredtositforcompulsoryentranceexaminationsandareattendingtheB.TechPreparatoryUnits(BPUs)/B.Tech
BridgingUnits(BBUs).Example:IfyouregisteredattendingBPUinMathematicsandarerequiredtositforcompulsory
examinationsinMathematicsandElectronics,youdonotneedtopayfortheexaminationfeeforMathematicsbutonly
forElectronics.

Therearenomakeuppapersiftheapplicantisunabletositfortheentranceexaminationsonthearrangedschedules.The
resultoftheentranceexaminationswouldbeconsideredintheadmissionselectionprocessandtheapplicationtotheB.Tech
coursewillbeconsideredaswithdrawnifanyapplicantisunabletositfortheentranceexaminations.
