In the Netherlands, adult per capita consumption of alcohol is mainly characterized by consumption of beer. Wine and
spirits are also consumed, but to a lesser extent. Recorded adult per capita consumption is around 9.6 litres of pure
alcohol and appears to have remained stable according to recent figures. Some unrecorded alcohol consumption is
also seen in the country, at around 0.5 litres. Total adult per capita consumption of pure alcohol in the Netherlands is
around 10.1 litres.
