General information
The person with whom the child lives on a permanent basis is the person who is entitled to cash-for-care benefit.
Assessments of with whom a child lives on a permanent basis
are based on the rules of the Children Act. When a childs
parents live together, the benefit is paid to the parent who
claimed cash-for-care benefit. If both parents submitted the
claim, the cash-for-care benefit is paid to the mother.
If the parents do not live together but have signed a dual
domicile agreement concerning the child under section 36 of
the Children Act, the cash-for-care benefit can be split if the
child does not use a publicly subsidised kindergarten place.
