 Presented and implemented savings of $4,000,000.00 in the last 4 years
against a 4 year goal of $3,600,000.00
 Incorporated additional responsibilities with company downsizing during
the Automotive Industry crisis. Absorbed receipt of goods and inventory
transfers. As well as administrative support for Visual Reorder.
 Created and implemented a more efficient flow of inbound and outbound
freight through better scheduling of containers and trucks.
 Updated and maintained standard freight costs for all active parts being
brought into the facility both domestic and international.
 Built and sustained open lines of communication with the international
carriers allowing for improved crisis resolution with Customs and other
delays.
 Responsible for CT-PAT certification, compliance and ISF
administration.

2000–2006 Safegard Corporation Greendale, Indiana

Traffic and Warehouse Manager
 Significantly decreased Vendor Non Compliance Fees paid by creating
an audit system and maintaining it as Vendor’s needs changed.
 Improved efficiency by creating policies and procedures on paper trails,
freight claims and cycle counting.
 Negotiated freight rates with LTL and TL carriers with significant benefit
to Safegard and their customers.
 Took on additional responsibilities to help assist the struggling company.
Credit collections, accounts payables and the majority of the purchasing
of raw materials.
 Streamlined the shipping department and changed the dock schedule to
eliminate overtime hours.
 Structured a freight claim and non compliance program that reversed
decisions that were thought to be final. Bringing “lost” money back into
the company.

1991–2000 Plasti-Line Cincinnati Florence, Kentucky

 Shipping Supervisor and Office Manager
 Implemented the Fascor shipping system that allowed a much higher
volume of shipments to be shipped on any given day increasing daily
receivables generated.
 Assisted in the negotiation of LTL rates with significant benefit to Plasti-
Line and their customers.
 Implemented training course for new shipping employees corporate
wide. This included the Fascor shipping system and the MacPac
production software. Created user friendly manuals which aided in a
shorter learning curve.
 Created corporate procedures for freight claims and returned goods.
Decreased the time spent processing these items and bringing monies
lost back into the company.
 Monitored the outbound shipments to insure the best route and
negotiated prices were being utilized.
 Supervised and scheduled both non union office staff and union
production staff. Monitoring standard labor and payroll hours which made
the shipping department profitable.
