An opportunity has risen for a 12 month secondment within Heath Education
England (HEE) as an

AHP Clinical Fellow.

You will be exposed to high level interaction and decision-making within HEE and
develop an understanding of healthcare policy, education and training reform,
leadership, management and delivery. You will gain an understanding of the
delivery and formulation of end to end education and training. As the AHP
Clinical Fellow within HEE you will have the opportunity to work closely with and
be mentored by a range of senior staff; work alongside a variety of HEE delivery
teams across England and the new Commissioning for Quality programme of
work. You will also be receiving training and professionally led mentoring coupled
with opportunities to work across all of HEE.
The AHP Clinical Fellow forms part of a larger annual Fellow intake into HEE
spanning both medical and non-medical professions.
As the AHP Clinical Fellow, you will:

Gain knowledge of existing AHP work programmes including Paramedic,


Sonography and Radiography.
Contribute to the programme of work on the Orthotic workforce.
Undertake work to scope a draft 'HEE AHP Strategy.
Support the work of the Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) on
'Safe Staffing'.
Be responsible for organising and maintaining the newly formed Local
Education Training Boards (LETB) AHP network.
Contribute to and gain knowledge of AHP workforce supply and planning;
especially for AHP services commissioned by Clinical Commissioning
Groups (CCGs) / NHS England and Local Authorities outside of the NHS
Contribute to work programmes for Advanced Practice across non-medical
professions.

support with the AHP Fellow in place in NHS England.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety
of HEE delivery teams across England as required as well as
the new Commissioning for Quality programme of work.
The successful fellows will receive training and profession led
mentoring coupled with opportunities to work across all of
HEE. A leadership programme is included within this one
year opportunity which is will be provided by our HEE team
based in the East of England.
The post-holders will form part of a larger annual Fellow
intake into HEE spanning both medical and non-medical
professions.
The post holder will:
Gain knowledge of existing AHP work programmes

Salary

For those on Agenda for Change, salary band and
