following vacant positions. A HAND WRITTEN application letter

1.0. POSITION: - TECHNICIAN III FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
VETERINARY PATHOLOGY (1 POST)
QUALIFICATIONS:Possession of a Secondary School Education Certificate or with passes
in Biology and/or Chemistry PLUS a possession of Diploma in
Veterinary/Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized
Technical College. Having a Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory
Technology from Livestock Training Agency is an added advantage.
DUTIES: Setting out management and administration of laboratory
outdoor and field practical for training and research in
biomedical studies
Undertaking various applicable laboratory studies for testing
and analysis of samples for teaching and research in biomedical
studies.
Laboratory and field supervision of student practical under the
guidance of respective instructor.

Undertaking regular servicing and maintenance of laboratory

equipment as guided by respective technologist/head of
department
Developing, testing and standardising
laboratory//workshop/field testing procedures for training and
research.
Performing any other relevant duties as may be guided by the
respective supervisor.

2.0. POSITION: - TECHNICIAN III FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF

VETERINARY MICROBIOLOGY (1 POST)
QUALIFICATIONS;Possession of a Secondary School Education Certificate in Biology and
Chemistry PLUS a Diploma in Veterinary/Medical Laboratory
Technology from a recognized Technical College.
DUTIES; Assisting in performing routine technical tasks under the
supervision of an experienced technician
Assisting in taking samples for laboratory investigations
Assisting
in
the
repair
and
maintenance
of
Laboratory/Workshop facilities
Assisting in field operations/research activities
Assisting in implementing technical plans and designs
Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by ones
supervisor

3.0. POSITION:- TELEPHONE OPERATOR III (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS;Possession of a Secondary School Education Certificate with two years
training for Trade Test Grade II or telephone Operating.
DUTIES; Assist in calling signals from subscribers and distant exchanges.
Connecting calls within the exchange area and outside

Rising appropriate changes in respect of calls connected

Preraring all necessary records and reports to his/her senior incharge
Taking minor Telephone repairs /maintanance
Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by ones
supervisor

4.0. POSITION:- ASSISTANT TRANSPORT OFFICER III (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS;Possession of an Ordinary Diploma in Transport Management from
the Institution recognised by the Government and MUST posses a
clean Class C Driving licence.
DUTIES
Assisting in Coordinating transport services of the university
Assisting in Arranging test interviews for drivers
Assisting in following up Repairs and Maintenance to Garages
Assisting in checking Logbooks and making sure that fuel
consumption is correct as shown in millage
Assissiting in keeping records of transportation services
Assisting in following up Traffic cases in collaboration with
Universitys Legal Officer
Assisting in following up Motor Vehicle accIdents and
submitting claims to the Insurance Company for compensation
in liason with the Universitys Insurarnce Officer
Assisting in Preparion of various Lincences for SUA Motor
Vehicles
Assisting in following up Registration for new SUA Motor
Vehicles
Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by ones
supervisor
