Executive Summary
Mission
Our mission to maximize our societys productivity as much as possible. We aim
to do so by giving our users the opportunity to utilize their waiting times in better ways,
instead of idly awaiting their turn.

About the Application

TicketEasy is a mobile application that allows the user to remotely reserve a ticket
for service-providing firms, particularly banks and telecommunication companies.
Based on the user's location, s/he is alerted to start heading to the store.

The Industry
The mobile app industry is still relatively young. However, the figures show that it
is growing rapidly and has a very promising sales projection. Moreover, there are many
rising trends within the industry itself. The most popular trend is mobile advertising,
which has the advantage of cutting down publicity finances while still being accessible
by many people. Another growing trend within the mobile app industry is the
personalized service tool. More mobile applications now are developed to provide
certain services only through a touch of a screen.

Company Description
Ticket Easy is basically firm based on providing an e-service for providing virtual tickets
that cut down waiting time in queues and further information on waiting lines in banks &
telecommunication branches.
This idea focuses on an app that will make the queue line more manageable and easier
effortlessly. The idea was raised as a result for what is being witnessed in many of the service
providing places such banks and telecommunication companies. Usually customers tend to leave
their turn when they find that they will stand in queue line for too long. So this app will make it
easier by just reserving your ticket on your phone and get an updated information about the waiting
time and your turn so you can make it on time.
"We aim to provide a virtual ticketing system that eases the waiting process in serviceproviding firms and makes life easier for both ends; suppliers & customers."

Industry Analysis
Our business will enter the mobile apps industry as we are creating an application that
incorporates a virtual ticketing system for our customers. Mobile use continues to grow and the
whole world is becoming dependent on their smartphones to go through their daily lives. Thus, the
industry of mobile applications is already big, and it keeps growing on a fast rate, because new
and practical applications are being generated everyday. In 2015, it is estimated that 46 percent of
app users paid for their apps.[1] Moreover, in 2017, its expected that over 268 billion downloads
will generate $77 billion worth of revenue.[2] Therefore, the sales projections are promising,
knowing that app users are willing to pay if the application proves to be useful and convenient.

Ticket Easy |4

The mobile apps industry has rising trends. One of the trends witnessed are the mobile
advertisements created for mobile apps, which are found on most social networks (Facebook,
Instagram). Another major trend is the personalized service that the applications offer to their
users. By creating an account, the service given is customized to the preferences, the attributes and
the history of the user.
The mobile apps industry in Egypt proved to have a promising future. Egyptians are
becoming more prone to depend on their smartphones to facilitate their daily tasks. Bey2olak is a
major example of an Egyptian application that facilitates the lives of Egyptians by updating them
with information about existing traffic jams. The application witnessed major success. Egyptians
are looking for any innovative means to accelerate their life and make it easier, thus the mobile
apps industry in Egypt is definitely growing and not yet crowded nor saturated, which offers an
advantage for our company.

For TicketEasy, our target market will be divided into two parts. We target the individuals
that make up the middle to upper social class, and the banking offices. In order to reach our target
markets we have to focus on social media and public advertisement to reach both our segments.
While entering the market, we will only focus on offering the application to decrease the
waiting time in queue, in Egyptian banks. After maintaining a good position in this small market,
we will broaden our spectrum by introducing the service in restaurants and government offices.
This long-term plan to expand our target segments will make of our application an irreplaceable
mean to achieve daily responsibilities.

Market Analysis
Market Segmentation
When it comes to segmenting the market, our target market includes Class A&B for the
specific reason that our app service is available on smart phones and tablets which are normally
within the capabilities of our chosen target market. Not only is it based on financial reasons, but
on the fact that both classes are well adapted to the usage of applications as part of their lives.
Ofcourse it was through our survey that we were able to determine such criteria , especially when
it comes to choosing the target market. A necessary point to keep into consideration is the
similarity of our product to others and how some similar features can be indicators of customer
behavior. For example , in our survey a question was added asking random responders of whether
BY2olak is a frequently used app by those who own smart phones and basically the main reason
was to determine peoples attitude towards applications that contribute to the practical life and
therefore determine what to expect in the beginning.

Buyer Behavior
Consumer attitude is changing now with people more willing to trust their smart phones to
be part of accomplishing their daily tasks. Uber for example remains a big proof as people are
now totally ordering a drive through their smart phone and so do other apps as well. Wasted time
Queues is a significant problem and through our survey one of the questions presented was
essentially tackling this issue as most of the respondents replied with the fact that they spend at
least 1-2 hours waiting for their turn in either banks, Governmental institutions, clinics or waiting

list in restaurants. This time wasted is where our service intervenes and will provide the perfect
alternative to make use of the wasted time, and at the same time having your demands met.

The following survey questions were actually the core of our business project. Normally
as expected 95% percent of the respondents owned either a Smartphone or a tablet and therefore
it is easy to understand how our target market has been shaped. Then the following question was
to understand how our target market view their Smartphone in terms of its contribution to their
practical life and if they would trust an app in helping solve one of their daily obstacles. Most
respondents believed that their smartphone was somewhat effective to their daily life with some
as well viewing it as highly effective and a few as rarely effective. Therefore it drew our attention
to the idea that we will need to focus on advertising how our app will shift that perspective and
how essential it will be. Regarding the third question, we needed to determine some of the places
of which our target market wishes to see the service implemented. One of the essential questions

Ticket Easy |8

was the one where we asked those who had no Smartphone whether such a service would attract
them to buy a relatively cheap smartphone for around 600-800 pounds, and therefore we were
exploring the possibility of expanding our target market.

Marketing Plan
Product
It is essential that this first version from Ticket Easy is able to set the average for possible
future updates in the application.

Price
The principal source of income for our company will be from users paying to download
the app either from the Apple app store or from the Android app stores. The pricing strategy we
will adopt should imitate the prices of other applications in the same category. Our second source
of income will be from advertisements that will be integrated in the application.

Promotion
In order to have a successful launch, we will start by building excitement in the minds of
future customers. Before the launching, we will set a release date and organize publicity around
this date. The launch of this application will be reinforced by a well-designed application, an
Instagram account, a Twitter account and a Facebook account. Our company will take advantage
of the mobile ads trend, and promote our application through social networks rather than through
traditional channels. The use of social networks will guarantee that the target segments are reached
and that the application receives full publicity. Those who lead busy lives and are in need of an
application that saves their precious time will use this app. Moreover, this apps promotion relies

Ticket Easy |9

on user experiences and word of mouth so it is important that it satisfies its first users whom will
start to share experiences with others.

Distribution
TicketEasy will be distributed through Apple's App Store and through Android
marketplaces, such as Google Play and Samsung Apps. The launch of the first version will be
exclusive to these two systems, but in the future it could expand to other systems.

Operational Plan
General Approach
The business is basically a mobile application that enables a user to take a turn for a queue
for certain service companies. For this to happen, the application needs to be connected to each
individual stores ticketing server.
From the applications end, it will provide the user with the list of the companies and their
different store branches to choose from. Then it will give him/er a ticket number together with a
verification code and display the number thats being currently served. In addition, the app will

T i c k e t E a s y | 12

give him/er the estimated waiting time, which will be along with the currently served number
constantly updated. Based on his/er location, the user will receive an alert to start heading to the
store. Finally, when s/he arrives to the store all s/he has to do is to type into the ticket dispenser
machine the verification code to receive a printed ticket of his/er number.
On the servers end, each stores ticketing server will have a communication going with the
application. Thus, all in-store servers must be connected to the internet, for the communication to
take place. The server will keep the numbers order synchronized by constantly being updated
from the in-store ticket dispenser machine and the application cloud. Additionally, it must send to
the ticket dispenser machine the verification codes for every ticket reserved via the application, so
that when a customer enters their verification code into the machine it instantly prints to them their
ticket number. Lastly, the server calls the ticket numbers turn to be served.

Business location
Our target in the project is based on the dispensing machine being used in banks and mobile
service Providers. This app will be run for companies in Egypt as a beginning and then we will
make it globally.
