Subject PIS Weekly Report

The following events occurred within the responsibility of the GHQ Office of Investigative Services
during the week of 1/11/2010, through 1/15/2010.

Case Investigations
01/12/10 - GHQ / VTU investigators assisted the Columbus Police with the execution of a search
warrant related to an auto theft investigation.

01/14/10 - GHQ investigators continue to follow-up on several case investigations at the Rhodes State
College. Lima. A meeting was held with the prosecutor to review various allegations the preliminary
investigation. The incidents still remain under investigation. Case 09-610005-1233, Case 10-610001-
1233 and Case 10-610002-1233

01/13/10 - GHQ investigators responded to the Governor's Residence to investigate the report of
contraband being hidden on the grounds by inmates from the Pickaway Correctional Institution
assigned to work at the residence. DRC investigators obtained information that inmates had hidden
contraband at the residence. A check of the residence revealed several packages of tobacco. No
criminal contraband was discovered. Case 10-850006-1233

01/14/10 - GHQ investigators initiated an investigation into an incident where the Department of
Liquor Control received about 30 harassing letters from an unknown suspect. The letters also
contained what appeared to be threatening statements directed at several elected officials. The case
remains under investigation.

01/14/10 - GHQ / VTU investigators assisted the FBI & D-8 with the execution of a search warrant
related to an auto theft investigation.

01/14/10 - GHQ investigators assisted D-7 with a four day surveillance operation. The operation ran
Monday through Thursday and was in reference to an on-going theft investigation in Belmont County
where the GHQ surveillance van and bait ATV were used. D-7 is handling the case.

01/15/10 - GHQ investigators responded to the Public Utilities Commission to investigate the report of
a suspect making threatening comments. Investigators contacted the subject and he was apparently
upset over a recent electric power rate increase approved by the PUCO. The suspect denied making
