FESTIVAL:

Like the title suggests, a programmatic piece inspired by the nature.

Three Forest Paintings K.Vassiliev

A Spanish piece with two movements: "Garrotn" and "Soleares".

Hommage Trrega J.Turina

A quite violent piece that explores the possibilities of the guitar.

Canticum L.Brower

A very quiet and mysterious piece that explores the resonances of

the guitar. First movement is calm and the second is very agitated.

Federico Spina

Due canzoni Lidie N. d'Angelo

Merce Font

Four pieces with different characters, that go from quiet and

introspective, to loud and aggressive.

"Between Me and Myself is the second in a series of works which are designed
both as pieces for solo performer with video/electronics and as multimedia
chamber music. The player will be confronted by several versions of himself
and theyre trying their very own interpretation of the piece. Whether played
together with others or alone, the music will find its way through, unifying or
splitting the group.

The idea behind this piece is to work and develop motivic material, in a manner similar to
tradicional (classical) forms. The harmonies are approached in a more free way, often
using chords borrowed from Jazz.

In Stefan Peters' recent video work "Rehearsal" a lost history of painting is discovered. Like
descending a deep dark ocean, the remains of painting practices become visible again. In a
dark undefined space a bright spotlight illuminates a cluster of brushstrokes in
various colours and forms. They were meant to practice certain painting expressions. This is
in order to refine the ultimate brushstroke for the canvas. Accompanied with the tuning
sounds of an orchestra, the video becomes filmic and dramatic. Referring to the paintings of
Edgar Degas, fleeting moments of rehearsal and practice are captured, showing the
imperfect and also fragile character of painting.
