 Managed and executed marketing projects for Greater Springfield
Chamber of Commerce, Greater Springfield Convention and
Visitors Bureau, and Greater Springfield Community Improvement
Corporation ( all under the Chamber umbrella).
 Oversaw all marketing initiatives, implemented marketing strategy
of CVB, crafted, adapted and changed marketing plan and pieces
(print and web) as needed based on research, conditions, climate,
and competitor analyses with constant consideration of marketing
budget parameters.
 Worked with entire CVB and COC staff to implement and execute
various large scale events including golf outings, reverse raffle
gala, after hours events, and other social networking activities.
 Managed marketing bank applications and reports for local non-
profit cultural, arts, and historical groups receiving monetary
assistance from the Greater Springfield CVB
 Wrote copy and designed in-house ads and marketing pieces as
needed for various print and web publications. Managed
production, print, and distribution of marketing pieces.
 Wrote CVB 2008 Marketing Plan, various white papers, and other
professional publications for the Chamber and CVB.
 Acted as liaison for the Chamber and CVB with marketing firm.
Communicated needs and wants to firm as well as provided
creative insight for the Chamber/CVB to help give a clear direction
in design concepts so as to move Springfield brand forward while
maintaining a strong and recognizable brand.
 Acted as a PR rep for the CVB in regards to public and non-profit
groups in Springfield. Served on various professional and
community driven groups and committees in Springfield.
 Established and maintained constant contact with all hospitality
partners (i.e. hotels/motels, attractions, and restaurants). Voiced
needs, wants and opinions of hospitality entities to further the
effectiveness of the Greater Springfield Convention and Visitors
Bureau’s marketing initiatives while simultaneously conveyed to
these same entities the mission of the CVB and the vision it has for
Springfield as a destination.
