Genre Organization
The genre according to me for this play is drama. We can easily see in the
movie that the role given to the characters are perfectly suit to their
personality like Arjun with a bright face and with a great confidence and
Shakuni Mama who acted as lame.. They show their emotions clearly like
happiness, anger and jealousy. . There work is realistic and it also gives us
a message about the formation of the human mankind that it was not just
originated from India, but from the whole world.
Socio-Historical Referentiality
In the film we can undoubtedly bring up that the dressing style in Peter's
Mahabharata is entirely unexpected from the Indian conventional
Mahabharata. In Indian Mahabharata characters wore Dhoti, Mukut (crown),
Jewellery and hoops. Anyway in Peter's Mahabharata men wore kurta and
ladies wore Saree. Likewise in Peter's Mahabharata even the ruler didn't wore
the adornments and different trimmings. In Indian Mahabharata all men
dependably keep a bit of fabric on their hand and they wore some metallic
sort ensemble on their midsection in the war. In Indian Mahabharata the
utilization of adornments was all that much by ladies.
Additionally the weapons were unique in relation to one another. In Indian
Mahabharata the Gada of Bhima was of metal yet in Peter's Mahabharata the
Gada of Bhima was wooden. In Indian Mahabharata the lord used to consider
the huge bed yet in the Peter's Mahabharata the ruler Dhritrashtrya
considered the ground and the rooms likewise not enlivened as they were in
the Indian Mahabharata. By all these distinctions it got to be hard to perceive
the period they fit in with.
Rhetorical Objective
The language which was enforced on the actors was English. The difference
between the Indian version of the Mahabharata and the western is of
language. The language used in Peters version of Mahabharata is very
restrained and subdued. The characters use a very clear way of
communication. There dialogues are easy to comprehend and understand.
There is no difference in their way of talking despite being from different
backgrounds.
Affective Objective
They are as follows- The first one is of brotherhood when Yudhister was losing
all the matches in the game of dice, all his four brothers stood by him. This
implicates a good objective of brotherhood. Next is of Gandhari when she
was tying a black cloth on her eyes because her husband was blind. This also
demonstrates her love towards her husband. The negative objective is
implicated when the kauravas were taking off cloths of Draupadi. This is
clearly insulting a woman and snatching away her inner self-conscious. This
is ethically not at all justified.
