1]Scopeofwork:
a.Preparationofstructuraldesignanddrawinganddrawingsandtypicalcalculationsfor
submissiontotheapprovingauthoritiesbasedonthearchitecturaldrawingsanddetails
suppliedtome
b.AdvisingyoufortheappointmentofGeotechnicalConsultantwhenevernecessary,atyour
cost.
c.Visitingthesiteatimportantstagesofworkasmaybenecessarytoinspectwhetherthe
structuralworkisbeingexecutedinaccordancewithmyspecifications.Continuoussupervision
shallnotfrompartofmyscopeofwork.
d.IssuingacertificateofStructuralStabilitybasedonthecertificatesofsatisfactorycompletion
fromthecontractor
2]ProfessionalFess:
MyprofessionalfeesfortheabovescopeofworkshallbeRs.[orat%of
thecostofstructuralwork].Untilamoreaccurateestimateisavailable,theestimatedcostof

thestructuralworkshallbetakenasRs.Servicetaxshallbeapplicableextraasperthe
governmentdirectives.
Notes:
Theareaforthepurposeofcomputationofestimatedcostofstructuralworkshallinclude
grossbuiltupareaofbuilding/buildings,balconies,garages,meterroom,substation,society
office,staircaseroom,liftmachineroomandtheareacoveredunderstiltsandcoveredparking
spaces.
ThestructuralworkshallincludetheR.C.C.work,structuralsteelworkstructuralmasonry(load
bearingorretaining),structuraltimberwork,excavation,PCCandsolingunderfootings,
pile/raftfoundationsandanysuchwork.

4]TermsandConditions:
a.Youwillforwardallthenecessaryarchitecturalandotherworkingdrawingsandtheir
revisionstomewellintimeformyactionandrecord.
b.YouwillforwardtomeacopyofinterimandfinalcertificatesofpaymenttotheContractor
fortheexecutedwork(whentheprofessionalfeesarebasedonthepercentageofvalueof
workcompleted).
c.Foranypercentageofvalueofwork,additionalfeesshallbeapplicable.
d.IfthefollowingServicesarefoundtobenecessary,theyshallbechargedextra:

Preparationoffabricationdrawings

e.Incaseextensionorrevisionsinplanningarecontemplated,thesamemaynotbe
incorporatedunlesstheirstructuralfeasibilityhasbeenascertainedbyme.Iftheextensions/
revisionareonaccountofsuchrevisionsshallbecharged.

f.Intheeventofpartialservicesduetoabandonment,variation,substitutionoromissionof
anyProjectand/orworkorpartthereof,thefeesinrespectoftheservicesrenderedbyme
shallbepaid.

g.Forservicesrenderedbymeinconnectionwithanylitigation,arisingoutoftheabovework
duetocausesoutsidemycontrol,myfeesshallbeextra.

h.Outstationvisitsshallbechargedextraasfollows:

Outstationallowanceperday:
I.Totallyfoursetsofalldrawingsshallbeissuedfreeofcost.Additionalprintsshallbecharged
extra.

j.Soilinvestigation,testingofmaterialsorstructuralworkshallnotbeapartofourscopeof
work.

k.Youshallforwardtomethecertificatesofsatisfactorycompletionofworkfromthe
ContractorandtheProjectManagementConsultant/SiteSupervisorforthepurposeofissuing
thecertificateofstructuralstability.

l.TheStructuraldesignanddrawingsshallbemypropertyandthesamemaynotbecopied
withoutmywrittenpermission.

m.Intheeventofsufficientcause,ourprofessionalassociationmaybeterminatedbyeither
partyuponpriornoticebeinggiventotheotherpartyandprovidedthatthepartofthefees
duetheservicesalreadyrenderedarepaidtomeandtillsuchfeesarepaid,youshallnot
appointanotherStructuralDesignConsultant.

n.Intheeventofanydispute,thesameshallberesolvedbyarbitration.TheArbitratorshallbe
appointedbytheIndianSocietyofStructuralEngineers/bothofus.

Irequestyoutosignacopyofthisletterasatokenofacceptanceoftheofferandreturnthe
sametomeformyrecordsalongwithpaymentofadvance.
