Robert Burns, born on January 25, 1759, is Scotlands
most famous poet. He died at just 37 years of age and in
that short lifetime he became Scotlands most famous poet
and lyricist, penning such works as Tam O Shanter, Auld
Lang Syne, and To a Mouse. His works have had a profound effect on many and, because his legacy is so wellloved, his birthday is celebrated each year around the
world.

Remember those great choose your own adventure stories

from when you were a kid? Creative License has taken
that idea and brought it into the theatrical world with DIVIDED, featur ing 3 or iginal shor t plays penned by
local writers that, much like those classic Choose Y our
Own Adventure books of the 1980s and 90s, allow the
audience to vote to determine how the action unfolds.
Creative License was founded by local theater artists Aaron Holbritter and Casey Polomaine in 2014 with the goal
of breaking down the barriers between the artistic world
and the general public. They have already enjoyed critical
acclaim for A Steady Rain and Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, both pr esented at The
Albany Barn.

Dress tends to be semi-formal, with most ladies in evening

Helgerson.

The evening begins with a light fare reception and a cash

bar at 6 p.m., followed by the performance at 7 p.m. Intermission will feature a dessert reception and the chance for
audience members to cast their ballots to determine how
the final act will play out.

The Foundations next fundraiser

will assist The University Club in
replacing their 20+ year old phone
system. It has been failing for a couple of years and there is now no
voice mail. Having a functional system is vital to both the University
Club and its Foundation. Estimates
range from $8,000-$10,000.
Please consider making a year end
tax deductible donation to the University Club Foundation to help
bring this project to fruition.

Most of our valued employees are

not part of the weekly service charge
distribution. Contributing to the Employee Holiday Fund is a tangible
way to express our gratitude for all
they do for us on a daily basis and to
let them know that we truly appreciate their hard work on our behalf.
The first distribution will take place
the week before Christmas. There is
still time to make a donation. Donation cards are enclosed with your
billing statement. Please take a moment to fill one out and return it to
the Club. You may also call the club
